PE featured in major Danish newspaper
(17th of April 2005)
The nationwide Danish newspaper B.T. has made an article about project-entropia. The journalist making the article is Mr. Mikkel Milsgaard.
It features the well-known ingame avatar “Hally” who has played project-entropia for 2½ years. The article is a two page midsection story about his “life” in PE.
Also the buyer of the $26.500 treasure island “Deathifier” is featured, talking a little about his purchase of the treasure island.
Our very own EntropiaForum is mentioned in the link section of the article.
Here is a picture of the article as it appears in the Danish newspaper…
The internet gives Bjarne an extra life
Bjarne lives two lives. In his spare time he is located on the planet Calypso, that only exist on the internet.
Bjarne Siemons has two addresses.
One of them is in Jægerpris - the other on the planet Calypso in the virtual computer universe Project Entropia.
Daily the 26 year old Bjarne works at a special school for DAMP-Children.
He lives together with his girlfriend Rikke in a small yellow brickhouse on Askevej 3 B in Jægerpris on Sjælland.
But when he’s off work and comes home to Askevej he often change his name and identity for a couple of hours.
There he closes the door to his little office and travels to Genesis Star Tower B 1G on the planet Calypso, where he has his apartment in the neighborhood called Genesis Amethera Headquarter. And then his name is suddenly “Hally”.
His full name is Harry Alliandes, but his friends call him Hally.
Hunter and mentor:
Now he no longer works at a school. Now he is a crafter, hunter and founder. Crafter means he produce items for selling. Hunter means he hunts, and founder means he teaches pupils, as in Calypso language is called disciples. As founder he is a leader of the 6th largest society in Project Entropia called EON (Elite Of Noobs).
Hally’s apartment is located a few km south of the virtual island “Treasure Island” that a 22 year old australian, David Storey, bought recently for 150.000 DKK.
I would just like to say a few things about the article
it was great fun about the interview and the journalist and the photografer was very nice there is a few minor mistakes in the text but none that is to severe i hope this article reflects well on PE and who we are a rather unique group of people with a fun hobby
newspapers and such often get things like this wrong. once when i looked at the swedish show “kontroll” they said alot of crazy things, like there should be some force on the island under deathifiers control etc etc.. really wierd
hopefully some more player coming.best things for the game.
about news paper , i never see any news paper that can say only the true , and say it well.
they ofthen misstake , missfigure , missunderstand …
but the general line is usual not very bad
but dont you try and get all snooty on us when the fame goes to your head cos you had an interview with the local rag :wise: Remember, we knew you when you were n NUB in Orange!! Begging for PED!!
