PE Crashing

Ok last night i was playing fine for most of the night, it crashed once or twice but it was ok most of the time. Today i log in and if i try to do stuff it crashes like if i try to raise my weapon or trade with my mentor. i think its because im using intel intrigated graphics but it worked last night so, im stumped.

First thing always is to try changing graphics settings in client loader…

Updating drivers never hurts (but is unlikely any solution if there havent been update in PE meanwhile).

 reminds me of my old cpu! Run Forrest Run!! Plz don´t say that it is a Compaq too

no the thing is brand new well ok december 04 but still i got like 2.7gHz and 1gig ram “they” said its because i use then intel graphics controler but then why can i sometimes play and sometimes no? i dunno im getting a graphics card this weekend maby i dunno that or a PSP

edit oh yah its a dell

It might also depend on where you are.
Right after the VU (7.2), I got stuck on one of the Landgrab Islands. It kept crashing and then got o bad it wouldn’t even let me log on before sending the crash report to MA.
All I had to do was write a support case. And it was answered within 2 hours.
They said that there were some issues with my specific brand of video card and that they were working on the problem. They advised that I not go back there for a while. SInce I was stuck they moved me from where I was to Ithica, in less than 2 hours I was hunting again.

I’m having the same issues in Tethys Creek Right now. I can’t even go there and take 3 steps without crashing.
So, even though I really wanna hunt Biff youngs and atrox youngs at the same time, I’m waiting until the next VU or mini update to try tethys again.

If it keeps up, be sure to file support.

i would recommend a video card upgrade. integrated graphics card probably doesnt really have the ram to run PE… it might even be using shared ram from the system memory.

drop 50 bucks on a new nvidia or ati card, then disable to the onboard video. for 50 you can get something with 128 megs of ram, and i assure you that you will be much happier.

in the meantime, upgrade your drivers if you can. after vu7.2 i was crashing too, but a driver upgrade fixed me right up.

forget the psp! you need time to play pe!!!
