When CLD were transferred to the exchange we were given a plot token per unused CLD deed to be used in the future towards a plot redemption. This was a promise in a way, one I hope people haven’t forgotten.

I and many others have held these tokens for years looking forward to redemption when plots become relevant again. The plot tokens are still bought and sold regularly because the whole community places value on them due to the promise of redemption in the future. That future is here and now and market data shows demand for them and the fruits you grow as well as the cooking you can do. Please make it a priority for bag holders like myself who trusted you at your word. With the new fishing update plots have become relevant again and now have a purpose so please allow us to use our tokens on redeeming a plot to put to use and revive these communities you built.

There are no empty plots as I keep telling you. All were bid on, people wanted to use their land redemption just as much back then as they do now before the redemption ability becomes/became useless.
What they need to do is release more land for people to bid on, it’s ridiculous that people have the tokens and cannot use them to redeem there should be enough land for all tokens.
Do not worry. MA smells a money grab and will take it soon enough! I’d do it sooner rather than later, now that everyone’s crazed about fishing and haven’t figured out it’s value yet..
I second this. As they cleared mentioned that the plot tokens were for future use AND there are unused plots in the game. Please release them so people could claim them as per their promise previously.
Had a sync with Mindark and raised the questions asked here:
Mindark might still currently hold a couple of Plots; several plots are owned by players but left unclaimed. They will take a look at the plots available and the total number of Plot Deeds held by the player-base to make an assessment on what a fair, forward-thinking, way of approaching how they can be made available to the player-base.
They aren’t currently looking into introducing any new plot areas into the game. They want to take a look at the current supply of Transgen Fruit and interaction with the gardening profession and see how the balance works with fishing and cooking, before looking at changing the supply via more plots. But the language and information in a 10+ year old news post isn’t going to be too relevant to today and the balance of Fishing and Cooking.
So, summary: Right now, there are no plans in the short-term to release these for purchase/trading for Plot Deeds.
On a personal note, I think that allowing those who have kept their Gardens for years shouldn’t be immediately squeezed out by new supply and new plots immediately, and it’s good that MA is breathing some life back into this part of the game that’s been left unattended for so long.
As nana said, some of us have been holding onto our Plots for over a decade waiting for this, lets not try and squeeze us out in the first month of them actually becoming useful and in demand..
MA never said WHAT exactly those Plot Tokens would be for. I bought a lot of them at a pretty high price initially as speculation, but I knew more Land Plots were likely not going to be released and that these tokens might be just for upgrades, cosmetics, or other Land Plot purchases in the future, and might not be worth the money.
There’s still plenty of Plots on other planets. On RT, where fishing is also possible, I believe you can buy Land Plots with Rock Bucks (and maybe bananas too). Honestly, someone should look into it because transgen fruits and buff meals from cooking are lootable in pvp and in the future, someone will need to cook and sell buffs on RT.. But you’ll have to contact MA because Neverdie sold RT to MA recently.
The hero estates on NI were also meant to be part of the plot system and be able to grow fruit but that never was added as a function. Add gardening to my hero estate please.
Thank you for sharing Nana, I agree with most of what you’ve said from your personal perspective. I do think there’s another side to the coin as well with the fact that some of us have held these plot tokens the same amount of time or close to it with no opportunity to use since collapse of the system. In a way one could argue we are missing our golden opportunity as well as current holders of plots struggling with difficulty in building their plots. Please keep this in mind as well. At least those with land currently in hand are at a greater advantage than those of us holding and awaiting redemption. We are missing out on this golden Era of land plots and gardening.
They did say what the tokens are for and their purpose. I understand your concerns since you hold a monopoly on land plots. I respect your advantages but we have our promise in hand as well. Use your advantage but don’t crap on ours please. I would be just as happy with a plot on RT as anywhere else. I did speak with ND but like you said it’s owned by MA and not in his hands.
Calm down, no one is taking your plot bro. We are asking a promise be fulfilled and we have held this crap just as long. Not asking for anyone outside of current token holders to have an opportunity here.
Just saying you should have been asking years ago and maybe the new areas would have even released. Why only care now that there’s profit involved? It makes the whole fight of yours seem a lot less from the heart and more from the wallet. Gardening’s been around forever and everyone ignored it but me and legends… now people only want to get involved for the profit, not because they like to garden is what I mean.
The calypso plot tokens were useless for years and no one complained till now… why didn’t anyone ask to redeem them before? When greed is the primary motivation it isn’t a good idea for MA to follow that motivation.
They never promised a plot to everyone that had enough CLD (which later turned into Plot Tokens). Matter of fact, if all available plots over the different plot areas would have gone for highest bid in those reverse auctions, that’s only 8856 CLD used.
No, the chance to redeem is the promise. Just so everyone knows where I’m at on this: I’m all for them finishing RT plots and opening reverse bidding using tokens. This is a different market and it would be good for the economy and community there. This also wouldn’t hurt any caly plot holders or their perceived values. This would be a happy medium I think we could all agree would be fine and fair. If they choose to do a small settlement on NI in the future I’m sure people might like that too. Or at least give people like rusty the chance to open his gardens on estates using the tokens as part of a sink.
