Ho do u put 2 barells one on top of the other?

edit have you tried it from birds-eye view? might work…

Haven’t tried this, but last I heard you have to use your body to make the barrel not red. So try standing very close to where you want to stack.

so, maybe instead of sliding it around you need to STAND on it?
somehow i doubt it though…

not stand on it, but near it.

hold down crtl to rotate the barrel.

once its rotated you should be able to place it on top of the old one.

if it works, rep me or ill revival kill you. =P :smiley:

Stand on top of the first barrel and goto place the second barrel on top of yourself. I belive as long as your body overlaps where you want to place the item down (and you get the item icon to show up and stacked on top of the first item) then you can put it down. The icon won’t be red anymore when you get it right so just mess around till you have it stacked and still fully colored .. then click. :wink: I haven’t messed with it much but I easily stacked stuff up with this method a few days ago. :wise:
It’s fun to stack a bunch of decoys up and watch them dangle in the air. :slight_smile:
I have also done it by just standing by an object and placing it with my arm “in the way” and that made it stackable too.
I’m sure there’s alot of methods to doing this. :slight_smile:

you don’t need to use ctrl to rotate stuff, just use the right mouse button.

What??? what happened to the old method >.<!?

So is it stand near, then stack with rotate. Or just rotate from kinda far away. :smiley:

I see in the Clientloader it says this;

Me and some friends have been doing oil-art in high scale before VU 7.0 when it became alot more difficult.

Here’s some of the fantastic stuff we have made:
This oilcastle took us 6 hours, we were I think 5 people doing it and it took around 7500 oilbarrels to do it:

Ok, so there goes. Now, we would really like to see that feature back again. Our oilart have becomed widely known and highly appreciated, and that and pec-art is the closest we get to a art-enviorment in PE :wink:
If you could change Oil-stacking back to what it was me and the community, Im sure, would be delighted.

I hope you do the same, and ask for stacking back to the game. That and pec art are the closest we get to making art in this game (except clothings) This was a welcomed bug, more a feature really. There wasnt any PROBLEMS with that bug was it?

heres a related question:
if you can stack oil barrels, cant you also stack pecs? and if so, why hasnt anyone made a pec pyramid yet???

Yes, you can stack anything .. and I’ve seen pyramids out of almost everything. :tongue2:
Stacking oil barrels is the easiest to get straight though, other things usually turn out at a weird angle.

Ok I have been playing with this for a while now nothing great but a few tips to help you out.

you do need to be stabding by the barrels so you overlap but depending on where you are standing, depends on where you can place the oil drums. Also changing the view helps placement some times a bit of fiddelling with the camera can get a better placed oil barrel.
