But I thought u have to trade the deed over to the renter? So how can you get that deed back? without them initiating a trade with you?

1.I trade you my deed for your collateral.
2.You run off and claim control at the terminal.
3. We trade back.

Owning the shop and controlling the terminal are two independent conditions. The rightful owner of a property at any one time is whoever has the deed.

… however, this makes a lot of sense as well and I can see how it works.

Maybe with the new game engine Mindark will change the way deeds work so whoever owns the deed actually owns the place and this rental mess that causes so many headaches, messes, and support tickets will go away as ‘all trades are final’

It’s also worth pointing out, that in RL many shop owners have the option to sublet for a fixed period. They don’t hand over the estate deed to anybody, so it shouldn’t be like this in EU either. EU shop deeds should come with a subletting option.

Well maybe MA will add that in the new UE5 version? who knows for sure? Maybe they will have a lot more freedom and be able to add so much more systems to the game in UE5 than they can in Cryengine 2 perhaps? Only time will tell I suppose though

Well they’ve had some time to consider things since announcing months ago that there will be the move to UE5 in 2022, so lets hope this is the case.

Where did u get the 2022 Date from? It has not even been confirmed a date yet. Even when I asked support, even they said there is no timeframe as of yet but they said they will keep us all updated with updates when hey become available!

But you got no idea how much work is involved right obviously? lol

Well I can assure you it will take MA at least 3 - 5 years to have even a basic version up and running. Remember MA have a small team and most are working from home too due to covid still. So this will have a great impact on how long it will take. MA are slow, they always have been and always will be. 2022 is 100% never going to happen, same as 2023.. 2024 has only a tiny chance of it being released then but I suspect it will be 2026 when we will see it launched in UE5!

I have more than an idea of how much work is involved, but I’m not going to tell you why that is. I also admitted that it was an assumption, and you couldn’t possibly know what size MA’s team is unless you have first-hand knowledge.

FInd someone who actually sell one since MA wont release new property on the marker ppl who have them don’t really want to sell them. 3 Get lucky and obtain one at some location you don’t like /its deserted/ or is another planet probably less populated too. Spend more cash to furnish and stock it and wait for a whale to come visit you which is also rare since the players who are surviving in this game don’t usualy throw money left and right. Furthermore thos who do own a shop usually end up with prices that are higher than what you can find people selling it for or the auction have the items listed. Then they wonder why nodobody visit their shop and buy anything or think that well since i payed so much to put a shop i need to make my money back -odds are you won’t

Solution to that would be changing the system to allow people sub lease vendors on their property that way they can collect rent from people that wan’t to trade will allow more variety of stock and at lower prices. However this is not possible after so many years- kinda makes you wonder why ?

I agree that the shop situation atm does seem to be a bit of a catch-22 one, but to some extent ppl were allowing it to happen. If they hadn’t been prepared to pay the sky high prices that were being offered, then sellers would have lowered their sights a bit.

Part of the catch is those prices currently are not realistic. Why you would ask?- Quite simple theres a lot of unabtainable property currently on calypso and other planets. Some are owned by mindark Acquisitions some have their owner terminals disabled. The shops that are available are more expensive because of that if if MA releases the rest of the shops from their hold the prices won’t be that high !

Don’t take my word for it go to Omegathron towers or sakure city or cape corinth check it yourself and even New Treasure island!
