Hello
How can you tell how much protection an armor can provide you?
( especilally a mix armor and damage armor)
By looking stats, charts around or by exprience.
The protection is right away the amount of damage it protects. But as mobs do different damages you cant know the real effect right away.
Search for mob damage list for good reference ![]()
Why would newbies need armor? ![]()
Seriously? Against big mobs it doesnt help anyway, and against small mobs - wellā¦
But anyway, yes, look at the chart, and look at the armor qualities.
Say, this certain piece of armor protects you from
10 stab
10 cut
Then, you gotta find a mob chart, and see which mobs do this damage.
Like robots would do burn, sabakumas would do stab, etc.
And you substract.
However, if you wear mixed armors, you can never be sure which bodypart you will get hit at - so, be my guest and take a chance. If you have electric protection only on your shins, and youāre going hunting allophyls - good luck. Most likely they will hit you in other body parts and will do full damage.
Thatās what happened to me a lot.
Personally i would say dont wear armor save for Pixie/Rascal until you gain āAvoidanceā
As all You will do is Pay MAās wages with your decay
And cost yourself a WHOLE lot of money!
Saying thatā¦rascal should be all you need to hunt the small-low lvl Mobs you will mostly be hunting!
So many ppl including myself saw it as the way forward when they started ie. a buy a full set of Nem and hunt big trox thingys get a hof and get rich! :dunce:
As far as full sets go, i always wear only complete sets of the same armors. and Keep repaired to full TT as much as possible ![]()
Look here.
Thankās for your answers.
And Helmars thx for that chart. I had found some charts on the net but are nothing compare with your chart ![]()
I have seen the number on the statistic window but i got confused when iāve seen that every part has the same numbers.
I thought about that if you are hit on the hand only the gloves take the hit but in the chat windows it say only that you are hit and you take x points of dmg. So I wasnāt sure about this issue.
As a noob I started hunting snable without armor, but now i started to hunt snarksnot young ( the loot is more acceptable and I can get even more easy⦠except armor decay). And yestarday I notice that I take full dmg. SOme parts of my armor ( full goblin) are still green but the Harness is red ⦠this is the reason why I started this topic
BTW Kalashi when do you gain āAvoidanceā ?
Once again thx u all for the info :wise:
Yeah, that is a great chart. I used it when I was ready to move up from Goblin - compared Vigi, Nemesis, Ghost and a couple others side-by-side. Thanks for putting it together
Also if you want your armor to work perfectly (absorb as much dmg as it possibly can) you will have to keep it at max value.. you will notice that if your armor decays, the same mob will do slightly more dmg to you over time.
funny smily => :umn:
Not one person has sai look at the āMod Damage Listā

oh ok sorry.
yes they do decay and some of them do really fast i would keep away from them until you know your hunting somthing that might be worth it ![]()
granted, i donāt know much at all about plates. so, i will ask.
are they worth it?
some of them are priced so high that you might as well go out and buy a new suit of armor.

If you beg for rep then you get bad rep from me ![]()
Iād say rascal is the best armor for both n00bs and more advanced players. Anything over is just overkill :tongue2:
Edit: Crap,I have to spread rep..screw that
