I will be sponsoring my first Noob race event on Saturday, April 9, 2005. There will be three races, with a fully-repaired Jester D1 and 100 rounds ammo being given as the prize for each. As mentioned elsewhere, this is not a charity event - there is a small entry fee of 30 pec or 15 sweat. All participants are also welcome to join me between races for TP running to Fort Troy and Twin Peaks.
I also welcome the veterans to come and observe - with all the problems with scamming on this sort of thing, I want witnesses that everything is being run honestly
I’ll be a race leader if you want or need. If not, I’m available to help with whatever you need me for.
Great Idea, are you advertising it in any way ingame?

im a noob in my opinion .. is that enough?

 I think a known PKer is probably a little bit too highly skilled for this race
But there will be future races more appropriate to your level
Good question. I’m not that far off being noob myself - i’d like to hear some recommendations on that.
Thanks - as I’m sure everyone knows, I don’t believe in something for nothing. But I wanted to come up with a way to give Noobs a chance to earn something without having to put up too much. I figure 15 sweat isn’t all that much
Thanks for the offer. The start and end points are given, and they are designed to eliminate the possibility of cheating (you can’t TP to a revive terminal and shortcut to the destination) - from there, it’s up to the racers to find their way. It is possible I’ll need some help with coordination - I’ll be in touch.

I will be next time I’m in game - I just put this together last night.
Thanks for the offer!
I’m hoping this can become a regular, possibly weekly, event. As long as I don’t lose money on it, I’ll keep doing it. If it actually makes money, then I’ll build up even bigger events.
I have this vision of a cross-Amarthea race for a full set of Shadow Armor.
Now THAT would be an EVENT :yup:
I like the prize fights, too, but I think someone else is doing that already.
