There are no 1x0 axes. (forget the exact name) available on the auctioneer. (there are 2 as of now but 4 days to buy) What would be a comparable weapon to use?

Apsloutly nothing compares to teh 1x0 try asking people in pa if they havesome for sale ussaly dead easy to get. Failing that if you have the skill 2x0 is is nice but 1x0 should be dead easy to get hold off in PA.
How many should i buy and what are fair prices for them? the ones I saw on auctioneer were very damaged. If they are 100% damaged how much do I pay? If they are perfect condition, how much should I pay?

if u plan to really use the 1x0axe, there would be no point in quibbling over the price difference between a damaged and fully repaired 1x0axe.
one 1x0axe is used up pretty quickly anyway.
I recommend getting, perhaps 2 or 3 and then hunting the right mob to get more of 1x0axes, if u so desire.
as to price: in PA you can probably get one anywhere from TT+0.5 to TT+1.
It doesn’t pay to auction them because after you pay the 1 ped fee you will lose money. As previously stated you can usually buy them from avatars in PA.
Not to long ago I scored 10 of them in a few hours and just tt’d them. It’s such a PITA to stand around and try to sell them.
I’ll sell you one of mine at TT value (fully repaired, which is 7 PED). 1 condition: If you decide you don’t like it, I get to buy it back from you at TT value.
I noticed the same change. I suspect someone is trying to drive up prices again. I might sell him all my 20 or so axes and just kill cornundacaudas and loot more

Cornundacauda’s are ya look for. Also might want to mention something called decay, I have a feeling you may not know as yet. You get a full TT axe (7ped), each time you swing it (at anything) it takes 5.6pec worth of damage/decay. (that is why some are more broken than others)…once it is broken and cant be used, you take it to the green terminal and repair it…thats why you want to get a few axes, so you dont have to stop hunting/die and return to a repair terminal as often.

I know people might think they haven’t, but It sure does feel like the axes are decaying a lot faster. It seems i’m going through 9 axes in next to no time where as before i used to be able to kill a lot more mobs before. I don’t use axes much, but decided to go back to them for a bit and try and build LB, and just noticed there seemed to be a difference??
Maybe another test is needed to check on the decay rate.
1x0 are the best weapon in the game. After repairing rascal and fap i always repair my 6 1x0 next before buying ammo or mining gear because i am usually self sufficient when i have them. if i am low on ped i hunt foul or argo with my axes untill i am back in profit. I cant survive without them. They are a worthwhile investment for any beginner regardless of current decay.
