I’m having a constant problem with the quick bar. Seems every so often an item installed, is not in the quick bar anymore. Why is it that those type of problems are not being fixed, just like the old pec problem took forever to get corrected.
I dont know about you all, I depend on the quick bar a lot. I have it set up so the numbers 1 thru 9 give me differennt bars and then the F keys sets up the items. Yesterday I went hunting Atroxes, I use Foxy for tagging and aproach, then I use EP 50 to finish. Well when the Atrox cam close, to my surprise, there was no EP 50 and I almost got killed. Also I have two faps, one a Fap50 another a Fap 10, at times I hit the FAP key and the wrong one comes up. Same thing when mining, equipment installed doesnt get saved and either is not in the bar or missing.
Makes one wonder if this stuff is ever tested before its given to us.
I noticed it happens when i put in a new item in the quickbar and then teleport to some other server.
The configuration seems to “forget” the placement when switching server, to have it where it was placed i relog before going anywhere.
Happens every so often with armor too, if you log out somewhere else than where you took off your armor the armor pops back on you. A relog before going anywhere else fixes that too.
With 7.0, it was a major problem. It still seems to be something of an issue, but much less so.
I’ve found that I am more likely to have the changes remain permanent when I logoff with the desired bar as the active one.
While we’re on the subject of bugs, though - how about the trapping message? I get that popping up randomly all the time - it’s even happened in the middle of PA!
And here’s a really bad one (I think I remember someone mentioning it elsewhere) - I was skilling with my Jester last night. I took exactly 500 rounds, and used them all up. But when I had shot the last 2 rounds, I couldn’t put down the Jester! Even to simply “unequip” it said “You can’t change items while reloading”
ARRGH!
No problem to do it through the inventory window, I found, and that fixes it. But that’s pretty useless in the middle of a fight!
I need to remember to report that one to MA.
Take heart - they are fixing them. If you don’t do any programming, it’s hard to understand why it takes so long, but it can take a lot of work to go through all the code to see what it is that’s causing the problem. Especially when the code causing the problem isn’t anywhere near the routine you’re trying to fix
File your reports, and then be patient while they work on figuring it out
I’m sory but I cant understand how they can goof up so badly where the quickbar is concerned. Doesnt anyone test this stuff before they give it to us.
Just a caution to all…when you log in and you define your quick bars by numerics and then use the F keys to select…check it before you go out to hunt, mine etc. The quick bar cant seem to remember what you put in there. Several times it exchanged my 105 mining equipment with my back up 101 equipment, but still shows the color difference and makes you believe you still have it. Yesterday I went mining and for over a half hour was using my 101 stuff without realizing it. Also if you install several guns, at times one of them wont be in there…nothing like standing in front of a pissed of atrox…and the finishing gun wont come up…SURPRISE…lol.

It’s now a part of my pre-hunt routine to redo my quickbar…what’s weird though is that if I ctd it usually keeps the way i had it lol
I never had too much trouble with it, only with the emotes that I drag from the action book to the quickbar, they seem to disappear all the time.
Especially the dancing icons, but now it seems to ‘stick’ around.
To be able to place something in the quickbar I have to drag the bar a bit to the top, cause I positioned my quickbar just above the HUD.
Strangely enough I can’t put things into the quickbar when it’s just above the HUD.
Be it a bug or not,I’d like to have the ability to put armor parts ( or a full set ? ) into the quickbar. That’s something important imo.
Have had similar problems as above and lately my fap has been disappearing from quickbar and inventory.
Was hunting Trox domi, fapped, shot, fapped and then suddenly i couldnt fap… Fap was gone. Had to relog and it was back in inventory but i had to put it back on the quickbar.

Thats the only quickbar problem i have and i still do it every day. :laugh:

Oh no its not when i use the RT everything that i repair will be removed from my quickbar
