New PE game

Oi.

Just wanted to let ya’ll know that we are making a little game about PE.
As some of you might know there is all sorts of “stockmarket games” out there on the internet where you can buy and sell stocks with fictive money…

So.. I thought.. Why not make the same with PE.. I mean.. With pricefinder we have all the data we need to make such a game…

Anyway… Here’s how its gonna work:

You start by signing up (100% free).. Then you get 10.000 fictive PEDs.. no you can not withdraw them or anything.. its just “fun PEDs”..

Then you can buy and sell items that are listed on Pricefinder…

You buy at the systems avg price.. and sell at the systems avg price.

Everything has a TT value of 0 PED, so its JUST the markup we are dealing with here.

There are game rounds.. each of 30 days.. At the end of each round a winner is found.. (The guy who has earned the moste.. doh)…

The buying bit:
You would like to buy some stocks in lysterium…
Well the lysterium price is 130% now so the stock price is set at 130 PED pr stock…

If it goes up to 140 %.. the system will buy back at 140 pr stock..

Mk2.. The system price today is 86 PED markup… so you buy each share for 86 PED… if it drops to 20.. well.. you loose money then…

All in all.. nice … free.. PE related… online game…

And.. yeah… you get a chance to deal with high end stuff if you earn a lot of money in the game… :-p ofc, its fictive but still.. :-p

As for prizes.. We cant give anything as we have been instructed by MA not to charge money the PE related materials we are making… So.. If you want to be able to win a prize… you have to donate something to us so we can give it back, as we did with the treasure hunt…

So.. where can you try the game??

Not yet… its still in beta.. atm its only buying and inventory thats working… im coding like a maniac to get the rest working today… but.. making an online game in less than 8 hours… yeah… ill try.. but i cant promose anything… and thats why im not providing a link.. cuz if you go there now.. and mess something up.. it can really mess the database up… so…

laters… and ill ofcourse make a link and stuff avalible once its up and running :smiley:

But honestly starfinder I will 100% start playing it If we can craft :slight_smile:
Craft loose money in the start, then maybe get some cool bp so you could sell stuff.. were should all the things come from if not crafters?

Thats where you register…

For it to work you much be signed in on Pricefinder or have the Pricefinder cookie enabled…

Register = the system updates your account… and gives you 10K PEDs to play with…

You need to have a pricefinder account before you start the game…

Then login to pricefinder… Then (Cuz its beta) go to:
www.perc.info/pricefinder_stockmarket.asp?mode=start

(You have to be logged in on pricefinder when you do this!!!)

Atm all items it cant calc’ the price on will be 150 PED pr share… This will be changed today.. or tomorrow.. depends on how much time I have…

Also.. I will do some nice grapichs and prehaps some better calc’ of the high score… Atm its just what you have on your CC thats determining the highscore…

Btw… If you have any whishes for the game.. what should be possible and so on… it would be really nice…

Someone with a bit of stockmarket exp. to tell me what is possible…

Put options and so on… how it works… and if it should be possible in the game…

Im trying to make it so that you can see if you “could” earn money as a trader in PE… :-p

yeah.. the whole crating/hunting/mining thing dosent really apply to a stockmarket…

It has to be a stockmarket idea :wink:

Maby you could have something soc related say how well top skilled society perfome. Who moves up and who moves down.

Might be hard to implement though not sure.
