Would anyone volunteer to be my mentor? I’ve tried asking in various places but no takers. I’m an almost complete noob - I’ve gathered tps at Camp Phoenix, spaceship, Twin Peaks and East Scyllia mountains so far - some alone, some following someone else.
I die every time I try to run for the oil rig. I’ve sweated a bit, but not made a lot (about 3 PEs 
).
That’s as far as I’ve got so far, no possessions and no skills so far.
Any volunteers?
There’s some people here who will help you, don’t dispair… I’m currently not able to log on so I have to pass… whish you good luck though 
stay around Port Atlantis someone should help you.
I would if i could get online but i wont be for another 7ish hrs.
Ill offer to take you as a mentor if you play the same sort of time as me 
If you dont I dont really want to have you as a disciple because I wont be able to take you anywhere/hunt/sweat if we are not on together
So if you get one in game dont get one late at night(1-3am) :wise: as they could be in a different time and not always be playing during your daytime
A mentor is not essential and there are many people here and ingame that will help you out if you ask nicely build up a friend list of people who play at different times can help if you need to ask questions and you cant find anyone about
Or as you have done post here asking questions lots of people here will be happy to help
I live in the Uk and am on most days not always for long occasionally late at night aswell (PE can get addictive )

I think I play at mostly the same times as you - I’ve seen you around a few times in PE - followed you in a group once to try to reach the rig and went tp bagging along the way. Had to bail out at East Scyllia Mountains though unfortunately.
Although I’ve made it from there to the outpost south of Nymphtown on my own today.
Thought I’d get a revival terminal closer to the rig before attempting it alone.
Does it do you any harm if you have disciples that don’t get very far or are on very much? I’ve got a few weeks off work for sick leave just now so I can be on most days for the next couple of weeks, but I’d hate to not be on as much as you’d like and it cause problems for you.
If you’re happy to mentor me, please let me know what I should do.

Not in the least I am still a disciple at the moment, I dont see my mentor anymore hes not been on for a long time but I have been playing a year and skill with far too many things to have completed it yet
There is no time limit to completion you can play PE as much or as little as you like. I would help anytime I am able to. And you could always PM me through here if you have a question and Im not online.
I remember the trip to the rig it was a great laugh we only managed to get to the outpost west of twin Peaks with only two people left at the end though

Well so u have another candidate. I can mentor u. Tho the training goes my way. I can teach u how to play efficiently. Each of my disciples recives some gear from me and funding. Team hunts, advice and help from other of disciples. Untill u play regular u can say ur safe in financial way The only thing needed is some patience

Ahh you are a Diver then! I am looking to start in the future, I was going to start in Sept but move of house put that to a halt

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I’ve taken a decision to play world of warcraft for a while - I’ve never played an online game before and it seems a lot easier to get started in warcraft without help.
Unfortunately, since I’m on a laptop with little to no hard drive space, I had to uninstall PE :(.
Maybe I’ll be back. We’ll see.

i recently download PE and started playing. i can honestly say that i have no clue what i am doing. I have gathered sweat? think i have 82 total ;/ that was my first time i logged on. the 2nd time i logged on someone said they wanted to be my mentor (he hasnt done much, if anything at all) but i did get help from someone else. this person told me they would get me to the next portal from Ft argus? (sp). along the way he was drilling and mining and it took us a while to get to the next portal. he gave me a gun, 200 barrels of crude oil, and 7 stones of some sort. again i am clueless. so if anyone sees me online i would also like a bit of help.
i have played everquest for teh past 5 years, i am still addicted to EQ but can see myself getting addicted to PE as well.
Make sure you find a mentor who’s kind and treats you well - don’t fall victim to those simply offering items or razzle dazzle. Get to know them before you accept. Mentorship can be much more fun than just learning.
