I want to start crafting but I have a few questions.

[li]What’s the fastest item I can start making and have a chance to sell it for profit and not at a loss?[/li]

Ans - 1. If you start with a 100 QR BP, around 20 - 25% loss is possible.

Ans - 8. I am not a “good crafter” but i can sell u QR 1 BP’s for 20 pecs each. A “Good Crafter” will give it to you for free.
first i wouldnt consider myself as a crafter, im a huter and hoby miner/crafter.
What i´v learned so far that crafting is a profesion of patience endurence and knowledge of the market..the needs and trends. Specializing is the key i think, i hunt alot and now after 4 years i can craft myself an AL15, thats because my high LWT skill helps and the eng. skills from mining is also helpful

Yes, I think you should join a crafting society and take advice from someone that really knows what they are doing and even then things may not go as well as you hope.
Crafting for me is really for when I get fed up with hunting loot and mining is bad.
I started, not long ago on basic filters and globalled around 73%, I then went on to making basic sheet metal which was generally good. At that time sheet metal was selling for up to 235% (on auction now some are selling at as little as 155% idk how they do this)
Long runs of components will tie you to construction machine for hours and you will be able to do little else but browse the auction.
More recently I have made Geotrek Brody and Apis (its important not to get excited about globalling here as it just means u have made a gun with a bit more TT) and texture materials. Crafting texture materials has surprised me as its teh leftover materials from hunting I use that I run through the machine that are almost TT value and not much more than TT when they are crafted. But I have had some globals.
I quite enjoy crafting sadly but I only really anticipate getting somewhere near even one day lol. GL:scratch2:
