I was having a bit of thinking towards the evolution of my skill tree…One of the skills yet untouched was the whip. After a documented browsing of the auction I decided to get a bla-bla-Viper (L) whip, as it had YES on skill bonus and I thought: “Well, some 200-300 in whip skills won’t do me harm”.
I got the whip…it was like 10 peds+. I saw that it was quite slow, I remeber 22 hits/min and the damage pretty much inexistant (between 1.5 and 2.9…for me that was). Oki-doki…snable adventure then…and I was shocked…it was sooooo slow…hits came with only one critical in like 10-15 snables, skill gains squat, the same number of snables bringing me to 12 whip skills…at the same time I think I got like 2-3 fap skills though…TT ate that whip…I am soooo reliefed…so a question pops up: Who the f*** would want to use that Viper thingie? IT IS USELESS…

If you want to skill whip, use one of the original whips. Their decay is quite acceptable, and the average damage is better (even after the nerf).
The only reason I’d ever consider getting a viper or mamba would be for taming purposes. My Cobra Mentor Edition just deals too much damage. So I would use the Cobra ME to quickly get health and spirit down (and respect up), and then really use the Viper or Mamba to get the last little HP tweaks I’d need to tame the MOB.

Secondly, damn those whips you are talking about are pricy…for a measly 200-300 whip skills that I aim for I will not pay that tt+x00, where the damn x tends to be 5 or 6
That was the reason for getting the (L) shite…
I will have to overthink the whole adventure in this domain
