My first day of real mining and could be yours too
So I’m out mining for my first day just geared towards mining my first bomb gets me a 20 PED copper 2nd bomb gets me a 12 PED Belkar…my next 40 bombs get me nothing…then get a few small things…get pissed off go hunt kill a combibo young and got 21.75 PED…I barely broke even thanks to the combibo. I can’t wait for the future days of my mining. BTW yesterday was my first day but just did alittle to mess around and get the flow.
Dear Diary …Mushrooms suck I went to mine an ample lysterium and discovered it was in the middle of a mushroom and I was 1M off from getting a claim :mad:
Sorry I had to do it…but the story is true and the moral is stay away from the giant mushrooms

Yes, thats right, stay away from mushrooms… in every way
First day mining .. could be o good THREAD… Every1, if they remeber, can say how it was
My first day…hmm. let me think … oh yes 2 days ago
I went with 90 PEDs (10 bombs and survey for the rest)
I had like 40 finds, most of them very poor …and I end up with 50 PED in resources at TT price, 2 mining skill, 5 geologie, 8 surveying :banghead:
Conclusion ..DON’T start mining if u don’t have ped to lose
:whisper: sorry for my english
I had just gotten my first global! WOOHOO! it was with narc got a 55PED global…and I used my theory…run around dropping bombs your bound to find something
[QUOTE=jena]
not all mushrooms are bad i would give anything to be back at college again
anyway you had a better first day mining than i did 250 bombs and only 120 PEDs back :tongue2:

Lol, mushrooms are bad! Stay away from them at any cost.
And, mining really depends where your minin. Once you find a spot or two ththave good materials, the yopur set for a good while. Keep trying, luck will come one day :).
My first mining trip was a very modest one since I didn’t have much money to spare. I went out with 20 peds worth of probes (40 probes :P) and came back with something like 21 or 22 peds , so I did get a profit with my first run
I will never forget my first day of mining. It sucked.
I suck in mining, period. A rather expensive type of fun, where you never know if someone else already snatched up your spot.
Never was good enough to catch the big dogs of mining. Always used newbie gear. Overall, I never profited from it, but frankly, never tried too hard. Small misfortunes and limited PEDs discouraged me to invest into mining any more time or effort.
My first day was north of Phoenix. I did get a few globals at that place though. But first day - was horrible. 20 bombs and nothing…
It used to be fun when bombs were pick-up-able. You could steal them from people
My first day of mining. Well I don’t do things in half measures so went out with 200 bombs and 200 probes. I was a bit clueless and came back with I think 217 PED in minerals (72% return).
Went out again with another 200 bombs and 200 probes and came back with about 260 PED in minerals.
Yes, that is about 12 hours of gameplay on my first day of mining
I mined when I first started playing PE a couple of years ago… now on my first day as a returning miner I found 3 great and 1 plentiful still remembers the good spots it seems
[QUOTE=Private Magot]
is mining a good way to go or should i choise another profession
thanks

I belive it’s a decent way to play PE, but as with everything else you have to be willing to invest a lot (or find a good mentor who will show you the good mining spots) before you see any results…

You should try it out and see if you like it. There’s no point to be a miner if you think it’s boring. After all, this is a game and you’re supposed to have fun. Sure, you can make some peds by mining, but it’s not like all miners have quit their daytime jobs and are playing PE for a living.
