MY PE DREAM
I finally get home from work and jump on PE but hello, VU
after waiting the always painfull 10 minitues of the update i find myself again waiting another 10 mins, the another, than another…after all this installs i boot up the clientloader to see there is a major update and overhaul come into effect. i scim over a few thing but then log in.
as i log in i notice there is no lag anymore, the graphics have boosted up and im standing in front of a NPC called “Hermies”. i right click on him to find a window pop up asking me if i would like him to see if any plyers are offering jobs, i click yes and almost immediatly 35 odd jobs come into a list.
some people i see are looking for healers to follow them around next to that is all the kinds of FAP’s he will accept for the person to take the job, there are some looking for haulers the descroption for that is:
"you will need to folow this person once tey are reanimated here, as they go about their business all the extracted ore/en-matter they pull from the ground will be weighted into your inventory, you may not trade, drop or move these items. once the employer thinks your job is done or the tim expires, all the items you were carring for them wil be transferred to their inventory"
i scim through some more but find the “advertise” button. i clikc it and follow the instructions
“Job type” i select from a dropdown menu, “runner”
the job descripton jumps into a empty box below: The person who takes this job will be attached with a decoy, they will have to stay in view in your minimap and have creatures chase them while the emplyers attacks them, once the employer decides their job is done or the time runs out, the employe gets thier payment and the contract is over"
i read through this then see below it, “payment”
i enter into the box, 5PED and press, “place advert” button.
straight away, 5PED is taken from my account.
i forget about this new aspect of “careers” and start to look around the rest of PA, a very futurist busy city stares back at me and i am amased, there are players driving taxies for a living, taking people place to place for a small fee, i see one specific cabbie picking up a small team of robot hunters and overhear them asking him to take them to the spot to the west of troy.
there are people behind markets with signs out the front of their shop saying what they are selling, i stop and apericate this as i see the chat no spammed with 'selling this" and “buying that”.
i hear a small ding and i lcik a flashing message at the bottom of my HUD, a pop up jumps at me and says: “your flight will be leaving in 15 minitues” i stop and think, ah yes, i booked a flight with cuey to Club NEVERDIE, i run to the TP and head to argus, with a short trip form the TP to his hanger thanks to my new hover scooter i soon find myself inside his hanger meeting with others ready to go to the new resort.
we all talk about what we expect and what would be great to have in PE but this all stops whe cuey shows up and invites us all into the craft, we all buckle in and a blinding light trusts us into space, watching out the window i see cuey avoiding asteriods, i yell out t him as i see the one ship all commercial aircrafters fear, the giant ship that was once in twin flying the flag, “cK coat killers”. cuey shoves in the afterburner an we manage to escape their lazer cannons. with a close call of losing everything, we quickly head down into the atmosfear of clb NEVERDIE, walking out of the spaceship and out into the resort we all gasp as we see he greatest achievment in PE history…
