I was thinking when I saw the revival-chip thread..
Now that mobs gain all their health back if you die and go our of radar, it would certainly be good having a revival chip so you can revive on spot to kill the mob.
This cant be a coincidence?
That MA fix mobs health in the same VU that revivalchips comes?

yes I noticed this about mobs health yesterday at a spacehunt. I got totally fustrated looking for my mobs
checked the other domes etc

you thought they maybe ran across the hall? Poor thing, poor poor poor thing.
But where is realism in this? Is the game all about economy now? Realistically, then, if you fight a mob, and you kill it, and it dies - your health should automatically restore.
I sense bitterness in the air against others grabbing your cash. Hmm.
seriously though - if we are going to be realistic about this, then mobs should have ranged weapons, differing armour, faps
you get my point. i dont see why this really matters - unless you are hunting a mob that kills you every time you hunt it.. then this isnt really a problem. think about it - you kill 10 1/2 trax before one kills you. That 1/2 re-heals. Yes you lose cash, but if you definately will die to a mob, then it isnt wise to hunt it.. because your weapons will be underpowered anyway, so compared to another you will lose more
No. I used to even have a whole strategy with my soc. A strategy of reviving and returning to finish the mob, while it’s still underhealed. This fun strategy now went to hell.
Looks like MA is squeezing all the little possibilities to flow PEDs through out of us. Hunt used to be spontaneous, fun, creative, for me at least. Now it’s strict and by the rule.
It’s like comparing American militia and partizans versus British army of 1800s, where they marched in rows and columns and died under rifle flak. Everything by the book, by the code.
For me it’s not fun. Because i never did shit like you describe - trapping 30 molisks at some shop container and shooting them not taking dmg.
But I did enjoy trapping an occasional warlock or a spider in the rocks, or leading tantillions away from spawn points, or reviving and returning to the battlepoint, while mob is healing, or trapping ambulimaxes at the spaceship.

I dont like trapping of anything, not 30 molisks and not ambulimaxes or warlocks either. Im not saying your stupid that does this so please dont take it that way
The everlasting trappingdiscussion wont be taken here, we have other threads for that.
But the whole point about this thread is that the REVIVAL chip has arrived ingame at them same point that the mob health was changed. If you want to keep on killing something you cant handle you should have a chip. Revive on spot to finish the mob.
And when you hunt in team the mob doesnt get its health back as long as someone in team is in the radar with the mob, so thats said. If one of you die, the other wait till you get back. Just make sure noone but one dies all the time. And use decoys.
again its a case of strategy change and relearning. Everything is, when something is different
To be honest, i didnt even notice this.. because I wasnt hunting a mob that i died every single time i attempted to kill it. I dont see what is fun, creative and spontaneous about shooting a mob halfway, dying, reviving, healing, running back, killing it. It sounds like more effort and more boredom :S

Well it would be dumb for anyone except the most rich people to revive with a revival chip, or if your like a hours run from a revival terminal and you need to go back. Or a miner with 50000 rods up… it costs WAY to much and only the absoutely highest skilled MF users can use it..

Its a feature almost noone will ever use.

nope but still, you guys see the link between change of mobs health and revivalchips?
I know people who used to hunt araneatrox with decoys and tp’ed back every time he died. Thats not possible anymore since the mob health has changed.
But, since.. if your in a team and one dies, the other stays in the radar of the mob, the mob doesnt loose health. Then the other can tp back for instance. Instead of revivng him and use 100ME you can tp a few times for under half its price..
And then the whole thread has no purpose :silly2:
