Minimising...

How do you minimise your game to the toolbar? I’ve only done it a few times by accident, though it crashed when I tried to reopen…

I need to check my emails while playing and I dont want to relog, thanks!

Alt+Tab key

The time you have varies… once I was able to alt-tab out of game for 20 minutes  But now of course the limit is 10 for game, if you do not crash first

Groovy, I’ll give it a go

I often come back to “You have lost your connection to the server”

I have noticed a pattern, though - or at least some tendencies: If I switch to start my screen-grab utility, it’s rarely a problem. But I’ve noticed in particular that if I do anything online I’m much more likely to lose the connection.

Just be prepared…

It’s possible to alt tab for as long as you want, or atleast for those 10 inactive minutes if the auction interface is open when you begin alt tabbing.

There’s also a more advanced way of preventing the game to crash while you’re outside of the game, but I guess you need a Nvidia graphic card for that to work, as you have to switch over to a secondary desktop after alt tabbing.

Not recommending to minimize for more than 20 seconds. Crashes the crap out of my PC even on broadband.

I crash very rarley when using Alt+ Tab (Win OS)

A major cause for crashes is the ability of your GPU to ‘catch-up’ when you tab back into game…

Places like PA etc are bad for this…

Try facing a wall/go to a quiet place if you need to tab out of game

or

Get a second or 3rd comp

or

Laptop? :tongue2:

I alt+tab alot, and even sometimes drive two avatars with alt-tabbing. Just a few minutes tho, to transfer stuff, since we dont have two computers..

And acctually alt-tabbing in twin can be just as good or even better then in fort ares or some other place not so very used… from my experience.

Here’s a thought:

How would PE work on a dual-monitor system?

Have PE running full-screen in one monitor and your desktop on the other?

Hmm - I’ll have to try it sometime…
