"MindStar9's Diary"

I’ve read Diaries that others have posted and maintained, but never really gave much thought to keeping my own. After all … I’m pretty open about expressing myself in other parts of the forum, and as a result, I think my fellow-EFers have discovered a bit of what I’m about.

It’s totally no secret that “Blood Moon” and I have a special bond ingame, and actually make no bones about being an ingame couple. We’re very forthcoming about our playfulness and how we make our gaming experience all that much more stimulating by the adventures we create. The fact that we Skype and put voice to our fantasy avatars makes it even that much more delicious. We have a special chemistry that allows us to be incredibly comfortable with each other in our adventures, and with a level of intelligence and class that allows us to role play in a way that, surprisingly enough, neither of us have ever done before. Therefore … we are immensely turned on by the possibilities that are only limited by our creativeness, and as we have proven thus far, our creativity has no boundaries.

Keeping in line with the element of surprise that we seem to operate from when interacting with each other (we’re so spontaneous, as well as planful), Moon sent me an email (IRL) today to let me know that his work schedule had changed and we wouldn’t be able to meet at 10pm my time this evening. He was fearful that because he would be getting off later that we wouldn’t be able to meet up given that I teach tomorrow and would need to go to bed at a reasonable time (but then what’s reasonable when it comes to PE and sharing exquisite time with a luscious man like Moon). So … he said that since he had to go into work earlier, he wanted to take me to lunch (in PE) before he left for work. He said to call him if I got the email in time.

Well … I got the email in time and called his sweet self (on Skype) to see what was up. HE was up and getting ready to down his first cup of coffee. We chatted for a few and then he said that he didn’t have much time, but had something planned for lunch. I said ok, sounds intriguing.

Moon said … “Follow me to the central TP on Treasure Island” … and so I did.

Upon arrival at the TP, I still had no idea what the plans were, but Moon said to continue following him to the bar on the beach … and so I did.

Moon said … “wait here Baby and get into something more comfortable, like a bathing suit since it’s so hot and steamy out today” … and so I did.

Moon said … look out toward the beach until you can see the umbrella …
and so I did.

In the distance I could barely see the umbrella in the sand, as well as faintly see the top of Moon’s head, but not anything he had been doing.

Moon finally said … I’m ready Star, you can walk out to the umbrella now … and so I did.

Lunch on the beach . . . cont’d

As I walked down the beach and got closer to where the umbrella and Moon were, I could see that he had gotten comfortable himself. It also appeared that he had arranged something special for us under the umbrella.

The closer I got, the more it became apparent that Moon had laid out a spread for us to enjoy under the umbrella on the beach.

There sat Moon in his makeshift beach shorts, and his new orange hat.

Moon said … “have a seat Baby and join me” … and so I did.

We enjoyed sharing how much we cherished being an ingame couple when all of a sudden … Moon said … “Baby, can you get a little closer?” …
and so I did.

Lunch on the beach . . . cont’d

It wasn’t long after sharing special moments more up close when … Moon said … “how about getting a little closer” … and so I did.

https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/gallery/files/1/1/8/6/BrunchOnTI12_50378_thumb.jpg[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

The moments were truly special … Moon said that this was just the beginning of this adventure on the beach, but it would have to be cut short today because of having to go to work earlier than planned. He said that he wanted to give me a little taste of what was to come.

Standing up and looking down at me, Moon said … "Baby, I hate to, but I have to get going. Join me so I can escort you back to Zeus … and so I did.

https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/gallery/files/1/1/8/6/BrunchOnTI15_thumb.jpg[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I stood up and watched Moon pick up the spread he laid out for us on the beach, and waited for him to finish so that I could stand close and give him a proper thank you. I said … “Moon Baby, come close so that I can tell you how much I truly appreciate you” … and so he did.

https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/gallery/files/1/1/8/6/BrunchOnTI16_thumb.jpg[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I put my skirt on to be more presentable, and Moon put his matching boots on to look a little more put together. He said he wasn’t going to put any other clothes on because he had something planned when we got to Zeus.

Upon arriving at Zeus, Moon went directly to the bench at the wall, which he calls his “bed” and proceeded to lay down. Moon said … “Star, get up on the bench so that I can give you a visual before I leave, and something to think about in my absence” … and so I did.

https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/gallery/files/1/1/8/6/BrunchOnTI18_thumb.jpg[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Looking down at Moon in such an enticing pose made me realize that this delicious moment with all the intimate thoughts I had swirling around in my head would have to be continued another time, and also, just how much I would miss him while he was away.

Moon Baby … I’m lonely without you, and I’m going to be waiting on your bed until you return … and so I am!

As an afterthought . . .

Reflecting upon my ingame experiences thus far, I feel tremendously fortunate to have connected with so many wonderful individuals who have truly made my time in PE so very much worth it. I am blessed for sure to have met and made friends that have added a richness to my first-time game playing in such a way that I have no doubt that I will be “going the distance.”

While I may have personal thoughts about specific things in this game that could be better, I’m not one to openly whine and chastise MA about it, but rather accept the fact that this is a game and that with any venture, there will be growing pains along the way. As IRL … things aren’t perfect, but rather “splendidly IM-perfect” … and therefore, I find myself more often than not sitting in a box seat watching the game like a spectator, as well as a player, and waiting for the next VU or update that will smooth out the glitches in the matrix.

I don’t proclaim to even know half as much about this game as others do who are more seasoned players, but one thing I DO know is this … I am enjoying the HELL out of my time in PE, and it has given to me far more than any expectation I had in the beginning. And for that … I thank MA for making this experience possible, and for listening and making adjustments as they see fit. I look forward to the exciting times that await us with the advent of the new “Space Station Resort” and what possibilities might arise.

But then … as I always say … “We are only limited by our thinking.”

Play on players . . .

Been a while since writing, or posting any picture stories (and I have a few to do), but it’s been a trying time, not to mention that Mom is staying with me right now. I picked her up from my brother’s near Orlando, Florida and brought her to Tampa to visit with 3 of her other children for a while. My brother isn’t doing well after his more potent second chemo treatment for his advanced cancer. Everything is up in the air right now and we’re taking it a day at a time.

I’m not on PE as much right now because of Mom being with me, but it’s always nice to be able to share the time with her. She’s amazing and incredibly giving with her unconditional spirit. However, she wasn’t too consumed that she couldn’t take time to say hello to Blood Moon on Skype. She’s witty with a wonderful sense of humor, and very accepting of our interests and passions … even in a virtual world.

I can’t wait to get back to the few picture stories I’m working on to post either here or at the open forum. One is with Blood Moon and Jetboy that has a rather hilarious side to it, and then of course there’s Blood Moon and Star (aka “me”) in a picture story that others have come to expect from us. We ARE an adventurous couple for sure, and enjoy PE as our playground for all those unconventional activities that stimulate creativity and … well, I’ll let that come out in the picture stories.

In the meantime … I DO miss being in “my other world” as much as I was before, but I think that will change soon because Mom may be going back to my brother’s home after Thanksgiving. For now … my time is being used more productively with projects that I have neglected for a while, so even though I’m missing my family in PE, I AM accomplishing some things that have needed my attention, and that feels pretty good.

While I’m working on a few picture storylines for the Diary, as well as the open posting area, I thought I would drop by and record a cute little story that took place yesterday.

Jetboy (my brother and Leader of our society “JetStar Alliance”) doesn’t get on PE that much lately because of his work schedule, but when he does, it’s always an adventure, as well as a “laugh your ass off” good time … especially since we Skype.

Blood Moon was working, so Jetboy and I decided to do something we hadn’t done in a while … an Armax run … a MOB that gave me 11 Globals back in July, and rather few since then … BUT … we always have fun and often make good PED in the process, even though there may not be Globals or HOFs from the runs.

We were on our way NNE out of Troy and got to the top of the hill when an Exo Mature decided to go after Jetboy. We usually ignore all the Exos and Daks and head straight to the Armax. I remember hearing Jetboy in my headset on Skype say … “Bitch, leave me alone!” … LOL … and then watched him quickly turn and shoot the shit out of it (ok, one shot). When he looted the Exo, I’ll be damned if it didn’t give us a 54 PED Global. Talk about a surprise.

Well … the surprises didn’t end there … no, it wasn’t more Globals or HOFs, but something incredibly funny … to me at least.

We continued running NNE to make our trek around the small mtn and head E toward the pit area where we usually find quite a few MOBs. I noticed that there was a cow up on the hill and was going to grab it with my plasma, but it moved too fast and disappeared below the backside of the hill. I said, let’s go get it … because we had Globaled there in the past on a cow (theory 582).

I ran ahead of Jetboy and up the hill to find the cow had moved down a level and closer to the water. I ran up close and took out my M2875 and started shooting. Jetboy was behind me rather close and expected him to take out his EP-41 and start shooting, but nooooooo …

All of a sudden I hear … “rat tat tat” … I said “wtf” and immediately looked at my radar to see if I could see a green dot in the area, but there was NOTHING … as I turned to look at Jetboy, it was then that I realized that he was sportin’ a brand new ML-35 … BITCH … LOL … unbelievable. He stood there laughing his ass off, and said he did the same thing to Blood Moon earlier in the afternoon when they went out hunting.

In the meantime … the cow had been hittin’ on me and doin’ just a little dmg while I was standing there paralyzed at the surprise … but was able to at least watch Jetboy finish him off. When I got my bearings back, we continued the hunt for a while but with each MOB, Jetboy was off and running and the beasts were down in short order … I thought to myself … (l’ll just f*****g change clothes and stroll along for the show) … he was obviously having a blast and didn’t mind wackin’ them into oblivion on his own. I have to admit though … that the loot per MOB was rather impressive.

Needless to say … it was a jolly good time … except for when I was running head on to meet a MOB, only to get to it and watch it drop … obviously a result from the “rat tat tat” bullets or shrapnel that flew by my head at mach speed. I heard that shit in my sleep last night, but not from an ML-35 … I must have been dreaming, because it was coming from the second hand of my wall clock. Go figure …

OMG … a lot has happened since I last did an entry in this Diary. I’ve been so busy, and unlike last year when I took a leave from teaching during the Winter break, I decided that I would teach the Winter Intersession this year for the additional “golden sprinkles” … but I made one mistake. The Intersession is only 13 days long and quite intense … I was teaching in those 13 days what would normally take 7 or 14 weeks … yes, I said weeks. The mistake I made was teaching 2 classes instead of just one. My days were 14 hrs long, with hardly enough time to breathe, let alone take care of my home … and not to mention getting on PE. I mean … where are the priorities here.

The “good” news is … the Intersession ended on Dec. 30th, and I finally have my break, but just until Jan. 9th when I start teaching the Spring Term. I’m looking forward to that though, because I’ll only be teaching in the evenings. More PE and forum time.

The even “gooder” news is … I was asked to be a “Super Moderator” at the new Club NEVERDIE forum … what an honor THAT is. I’ve been doing it for a while now and it’s coming along rather nicely. I work with CPH (Christian Pollus Hawk … aka “Pollus”) and what a honey HE is. He is the Admin/Support person over there and doing an excellent job. Just like MB does here at the EF forum (luv ya too MB).

The even “goodest” news is … there’s a new subforum called “MindStar9’s Storylines” … which will feature ongoing picture storylines that are created just at the Space Resort and Club NEVERDIE. The premise was that they wouldn’t get lost in the shuffle and would be readily available for the reading pleasure of the community (current and new members), and could also promote all the “other” creative stuff that we devise through our crazy-ass, outside the box, unlimited thinking.

The even “gooderest” news is … NEVERDIE enjoyed the storylines so much that he requested a banner to place on the CND main page, with an ability to announce when a new storyline is available. I mean … how much better is this going to GET. There is currently a contest going on through Tuesday the 10th of January to submit creative banner designs, so if any of you sexy geek types are interested in having a banner premiered at the CND website, get busy. There is also a “yet to be determined” prize that will be given out as well. The thread is located under “Player Run Events” at www.realityport.com/forum .

Oh ya … one more thing  … I have moved my residence from Calypso to the Space Resort/CND, and proud owner of a “G” unit on the 10th floor of the Apt Complex B South bldg. I have finished decorating it in anticipation of Moonie’s return, so if anyone is in the area, plz feel free to stop by for a visit.

All that said … even though I believe in and support what NEVERDIE is doing with the Space Resort and Club NEVERDIE (and he knows he has my full support and efforts) … I will not lose sight of the fact that I first joined this EF forum after creating MindStar9 in PE. I feel that MB has done an incredible job as Aministrator of this forum considering how huge it is. He has my total respect for what he does here, and I will continue to contribute in an effort to keep it going.

I also will not desert this forum inspite of my involvement at the CND forum. I will continue to post here (I’ll be catching up soon since I’m off for a bit), and also continue to post picture storylines that occur on Calypso and Amathera. I have a couple of shuttle svcs available to bring Moonie and I back so that we can continue our adventures where we started. The picture storylines at the EF and CND forums will be different, so you might want to sign up at the other forum as well so that you don’t miss our craziness … BUT … it’s not going to be just about Moonie and I … if you’ve been to the other forum lately, you’ll see that there are a few stories there, but nothing about Moonie and I yet … that’s because he’s on vacation and doesn’t return until Friday evening the 6th. :tongue2:

Oh … and if you haven’t noticed already, I’ve kept my New Year’s Resolution to be “less colorful” in my postings so that I don’t blow your eyes out. I agree with you that it was just too much … I got carried away … guess I’m just that colorful of a person.

I’m currently on Calypso to meet up with friends who aren’t at CND, because neither Moonie and I want to forget about them … they mean a lot to us. When Moonie comes home and signs on Friday night at the old apt on TI … he knows that I don’t own it any more … I donated it to RipTure Travel Svcs to be their TI home base. They have been extremely good to me, and are just the best guys ever … they are a HOOT, and I luv them both.

Before Moonie left, I was still living in the old apt on TI … the last night we saw each other was the night of launch day for CND. I took him on a tour of CND and then we went back to the apt on TI. He gave me a candle to put in the window to light his way back home (from vacation), and even gave me his worn doll to take care of while away (which is on my bed at the new apt). Yes, it’s his buddy when I’m not around … they sit at the water’s edge at times thinkin’ about me … even sends me pics … I know, he’s just too sweet, but that’s my Moonie!

Moonie knows that when he signs in, the apt isn’t going to be mine and it’s not going to look the same, but I have things covered so that it’s not too shocking a return. I have arranged with the new owners to keep the candle in the window, and I will be there when he signs on about 11pm Friday night. Also … Creature did something very special to make him feel better about returning in an unfamiliar space … not telling what … you’ll have to go to the apt at TI to see it (TI City, Platinum Bldg, 9F).

Guess that pretty much covers it since my last Diary post, but I’m planning to be back more often to keep up since I won’t be as busy as before. I luv this place, and I’m here to stay.

It’s been a while, but I was inspired today, so thought I would write a few words of my own.

Despite my professional training and experience when it comes to behavioral analysis, I have come to truly understand that there will always be those who don’t care about being considerate or respectful despite their personal opinions, but rather throw all sense of common decency to the wind, and prove yet again just how challenged they are to effectively communicate.

Hall of Fame is one thing, but we’re talking about a subforum being sponsored with anticipation of receiving more exposure, and in the agreement between ND and MB, this is what’s expected to happen, so to request that CND threads not show up in new posts was an open disrespect to CND and all associated with it, and totally uncalled for. CND is very much a part of EU as any other part is, and to single it out presented a very clear msg.

It’s no secret that there are those who would be happier if CND didn’t exist, or that I wasn’t a moderator at the EF forum, but those individuals are the minority. And while I will be handling the CND subforum basically on my own, it doesn’t give license to someone to start a thread that has the potential to bring the anti-CND crazies out of the woodwork with yet another session of flaming.

We’ve had enough negativity at the forum for far too long, and with the latest barage of threads addressing displeasure with MA, I can see why some are asking for it to stop. It just becomes too overwhelming at times, and the true purpose of the forum loses its flavor.

No one is being forced to like CND, like me as a moderator, or even like EU for that matter, so there’s a real simple solution here … make a choice, bcuz for some to continue to behave in the manner they have changes nothing … although it might garner some a consequence that may be a little unpleasant.

I’m not going anywhere, and I continue to have the full support of my EF boss as well, whose guidance has helped me to grow in ways that make the moderating job more effective. I treat everyone with decency and respect, and have given the benefit of the doubt more often than I felt was warranted, but continue to be challenged by those who feel that undesirable behavior is to be accepted and not questioned.

That will never be the case, and as long as I follow the guidelines that have been provided me by MB, and continue to consult with him in iffy situations, my job as moderator will be on task as expected.

And as a sidenote … for as long as I have been a member of the EF forum, I have never given out a -rep to anyone, bcuz for me it serves no purpose. If I have something to say to someone I’ll address it in a PM, rather than the repping system, but then again, there are those who find it somehow rewarding to be able to exert a negative mark against someone, which oftentimes comes with no comment, or something so rude and irrelevant to any given post that it makes it laughable.

As a final word … I can’t be intimidated or bullied, and for those who continue to push the envelope … it’s not acceptable, and will wear thin to the point of diminishing return.

To those of you who continue to support the efforts put forth at this forum, you have my sincerest respect and appreciation.

I now have an Amuli event storyline to finish, so look for it later at the Reality Port forum.
