my last one ditched me after i told him i wouldnt deposit =\ (im doing well tho 3 days and 14 ped with only a lvl 27 sweat skill)
i would like a mentor that can help me with trading and would hunt with me (i like hunting ^_^)
if he can also take me to other tps (im stuck at camp phoenix cause i get mauled in any other direction i try to take)
people dont want to deciple others who do not deposit. If you dont deposit ur chances of doing well ingame are very slim, if ever.
So when a person says they need a mentor but arent gonna deposit i dont blame the person for not wanting to mentor them. Expecially now that the skill level is higher for decipleships.

Don’t worry about being mentored! Mentoring is over rated imho, although that is mostly due to the fact that sadly most mentors are only doing it for one reason (getting their prize at the end of your hard work). Good mentors exist, but often they do prefer ppl that are going to deposit (as CrazyGirl said) for various reasons.
I was not mentored (of course there was no mentoring when I began :laugh: ). Just meet ppl in game and here on the forum. Be nice, kind, mature. Listen well. Be willing to take advice. And you’ll do fine

I don’t deposit, but I have a nice mentor called “GETAFIX”
He really helps me out alot

Everyone who’s looking for a mentor is probably too high skilled to get one. Are you sure that your highest professional standing is Inept or Newcomer? Press K and look at the left side.

you know i would love to see someone continue playing PE without ever depositing. I think it’s entirely possible if have the patience. but most either quit or deposit.
If you could pass discipleship without depositing i would give you your mentor gift no matter what it was cause you would deserve it.
keep an eye out for someone in my soc “nothing AND nowhere” and ask them to help you find me.
Although you probably can not be mentored or get rid of your current mentor so you would not be able to get me a mentor gift to give to you.
I’d be happy to help you even if you can’t officially me my disciple as long as you had the patience to do things right.

Whenever I start playing im gonna need a mentor as well, and i wont be depositing, EVER. Hold me to my word, i will become successful without depositing.
Ill post here agian whenever i download the game, which will probably be sometime this week.

I formed a society specifically to help people become disciples and mentors, however it kinda flopped. The reason it flopped is that people who became disciples did not understand that they would:
a) HAVE to deposit to get further
—OR—
b) accept slow progress
Giving people ammo money begins to cost A LOT.
I loaned equipment and gave ammo for hunts and well, after I set up some people with (after they collected some sweat first) a few things we did some hunts. Then, they used up their ammo. They didn’t want to buy any more and they certainally didn’t want to sweat again.
They quit.
Thats the problem with the mentoring/disciple system. A newbie is not “new” long enough to understand if he’ll like the game or not. Once he gets a little experience and decides to stay… his skills are too high. Design flaw.
Anyway, I’m still interested in trying my little social experiment again (with my society).
Its called Order Of the Mentors Militant and I think I’ll try to get it running again. 2nd times a charm I suppose.
If you’re interested, I’ll be getting back into the mentoring thing and building up the society.
PM me if you want to become a disciple, or your looking to join the society and become a mentor.
I can mentor a couple of newcomers if they are interested
I will teach you the basics of the game, and because my main profession is hunting, I can teach you a little more in that area. I dont hand out items for free to my disciples, although I will sell them some things for TT price. If I see that a disciple wants to stick with the game, I may even occasionally offer a bit of free ammo here and there until they get established and can afford to get their own ammo. It does not matter to me if my disciple can deposit or not. That just means I will have to teach them a little about trading as well :silly2:
I have helped many newcomers running to the different TP’s but with this new radar system it may not be so easy… but we will try our best
If you are new and wish to have a mentor, please leave me a Private Message and then we can arrange to meet in game
kookiekrak or anyone else for that matter. Don’t worry about not having a mentor you can get help from other people, some mentors give out free items but will often do it to those depositsiting because they will get an item when you complete (not all mentors do this for this reason). If you cant get a mentor anymore you can always find helpful ppl that you can add as a friend and help you out.
I spend alot of time at phoneix so if you ever see me there catch my attention and I will take you to some of the other TP’s
At the same time if there is any information you would like just ask I would be happy to help as will many others so long as you are courtious and not rude or aggressive.

Can you get your evades and related skills up to 10000 and still get a mentor, its just professions that mess with it right, like “Rifles” and “Mining”, i mean can i run around and let mobs hit me, without worrying about losing my ability to get a mentor? 
Also, can you raise sweat gathering up past cap and still get a mentor???

Then i can get my sweat skill maxed out and skill with the axe i found, you don’t have to do anything but give me the mentor item that drops when i graduate!
No more loafing around waiting to sell crap!!!
But can i trust you, i mean what if a fireplace or something expensive drops, are you gonna jip me?
I would like a screenshot when the item drops, and something showing like my name on a menu or something, that will be fair… :wise:

what time are you usually on? like ingame time or EST time will do.
