I know I asked this before, but perhaps I was a little vague at that time. Could anyone please offer me some insight into something that’s been bugging me for a while?
I currently own a bunch of axes, one ine Jester, one Justifier (MK2), and several other weapons. I have been eyeing the Bravo for a while, but I have one big peeve with the Bravo. It is plasma-based.
Now, being the perfectionist that I am, would prefer getting a long-range high-damage laser weapon. Preferably with similar stats as the Bravo, if at all possible. That is, a decent range, and with enough firepower to burn a Trox severely enough to be able to chop it to shreds with my axe.
I’d have to check at home. I know Laser Weaponry Technoloy is around 1k… The rest will be 800 or so, I think…
I cannot skill with the Jester anymore (Or barely, anway). Hence my decision to go with Axes as well for the short-range punch. I have an amp, but don’t use it, due to heavy decay. I generally do relatively good damage, but have noticed jams/delays with the Justifier since the new patch. And at times, even though I am aiming directly at a MOB, i seem to do no damage whatsoever…
Superstition or not, when I move my mouse upwards and then back to the MOB, that usually seems to solve it… Still weird though.
I use the FF8000M. I tag the troxs at a considerable distance (125m I think) That gives me 3 shots at it until it reaches my MK2 range. But to be perfectly honest, I think I only get them into the yellow health. My FF damage is averaged at 70 to 90 per shot and my MK2 is averaging 30 to 50 per shot. But I should also mention I use an E-15 on FF and a 105 on MK2. My rifle skill just reached 1500 this weekend.
Well my suggestion would be FF BGH440M little cheaper then the 8K’s and well I useone with an A102 and a M2875 with A103 and can drop Armax bull maturs and sometimes old using them in unplated Rascal
ff8000 is a great weapon. 120 range and fast reload. I used a Foxtrot for a loooong time and got frustrated until my Soc. M8 Suicide informed me of the pleasures a ff8000 would give me… monetarilly you sicko!
I use an Echo ME Annihilator… amped it does well over 100dmg. It has a 6 second reload with a range of 142m.
I can pop about 5 shots off at a troxy before it gets close enough for me to pull out my Axe and slash the bugger into the middle of next week… :smash: :boxer:
You guys are talking about marbers like they are evil weapons or something
I’ve used Fox ME for a few months now and never had any problems with it. I can’t stand fireforge guns because of their reload…but then again marbers are even slower. They do have more range though, Fox ME has 160 I think. Either 160 or 150.
fox ME is 150m range, 119 max dmg.. i like that gun, 4s reload, so slow but not that bad i guess. put a105 on it and its worth taking a few shots at a mob with it, to range it in. with that gun most armax are at my feet with no hits taken.. the lesser female armax dont get anywhere close. =D
ff8k would be fine for what you want. if you specifically want something for dmg before closing to melee with the mob, then maybe a better gun. m71a1 or something. for just tagging, cheapest tagging gun hands down is ff 2200, not the magnum or anything, just plain 2200, very cheap gun, cuz it sucks to be honest, 100m range, only 9 ammo burn. it goes for +40-60 or so i think, foxtrot ME is worth about +300, etc.
I only saw FF ARR 8800 and a BGH 4400 for sale today. No M’s…
As for the foxtrot, bravo, etc. They’re plasma. A buddy of mine hunts with one, but I specifically want to avoid 'em because they’re not laser, and thus would require me to start skilling yet another area. I’d much rather try focussing on laser for now, and maybe have just the tiniest little advantage due to having used that for quite some time now.

The only different skill you would be gaining is Plasma Weaponry Technology as opposed to Laser Weaponry Technology.. all the rest are the same ..
The Plasma skills up really quickly too
*starts to chant…
“Gooooo for the Plasma… you know you want to” :tongue2:
