Most (good :tiphat: ) miners jot down their findings in the format of location, size, depth, find, date, time, etc., but this is extrememly tedious. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could buy :twocents: a logbook which would automatically do this task for us.
My ideal logbook would be an electronic device with a map on it indicating the find(s), similar to the current ingame map(M). The ores/enmatter could be listed much like they are on the auction. filtering options would be the whole idea, so that we can see where possible fields of a specific ore/enmatter are located and what the best time to mine would be.
Now to look at the reality of creating a system like this, after all, MA has to be able to regain their investment of time, server cost and money invested during the development and maintenance thereof. :deal:
The logbooks could come in different versions, for example one-week, one month, etc., to limit the amount of server space required to record this data, as well as different logbooks for hunting and mining. (I think they should be obtainable from Trade Terminals only so that all the income is MA’s, again to recover any development costs.) The longer the data is available, the more expensive the logbook. (Besides, data that is older than say 6 months may not have much relevence anymore.) A monthly fee much like the rent on apartments is perhaps also an option.
I ask in all humbleness that this idea be given some seriouse consideration…please… …sir… ![]()
Cheers
