Lasers and scopes

They help… trully

But my question is how much?

And what I mean is this:

Does the tt level of a scope or laser influences the % added to your actual skill or not?

From ur past experiences, what do u think?

I think of scopes and laser sights in this manner. This isn’t my idea, just what I’ve gleaned from other posts.

They are not really worth it.

Why? Let’s say you have 1,000 in Aim. You put on whatever combination to give you a 10% increase. You are now at 1,100 in Aim.

Okay. Wow. That’s great. (sarcasm)

With people at level 9,000 how much do you really think that extra 100 helps you at 1,000? Not even close enough to make a difference.

Does it help the person with 9,000? Nope, because when they are that high, what’s another 900? Chump change.

One thing a scope is good for is getting a magnified view. I use them for that and could care less about the % increase.

IMO that’s the dumbest reply i ever got

I don’t care how high are the others… i only care how good I hit (animals not players)

and if u make a combo (lasers&scopes) to get a 10% bonus… you’re even broke or dumb

i have 2 arber and alekz and that’s 27% (and that’s only cause for the moment I can’t afford more)

At least at my level I shoot better with them than without… and the cost (beside havin the money stuck in them …) is not much, maybe 1 ped each tool @ 20k shots or even more

If u prefer to go without them from personal reasons… do it… but you can’t say they are useless…

and 27% for the 9k guy is almost another 2k of aim

and even another thing regarding the 9k aim guy

for him to add an extra 900 to his aim would cost (skills) about 5k ped or even more

for him to go out and skill for another 900 would take him at least a week

but u can have all that with a laser that costs what? 100 ped (and it’s even more 12.5%)

well actually silo’s response is really good.

taken aside that noone can proof if the skill mods are actually working right …

sorry to be so dumb. the 10% was just an example so i didn’t have to break out a calculator.

i guess a different way to say it is that there is not a ton of difference in what your skill level is before or after the increase. yes, there is a difference in numbers, but what good is it really doing for you?

in my dumb example, do you really think someone with 9k Aim needs a little extra help? even if it was a 2k bump…

if they can’t hit a target with 9k, an extra 2k ain’t going to do squat. is it going to change the hit rate from 90 out of 100 times to 91 out of 100?

big freakin’ deal.

if you are low level, you will not get much of an increase. if you are high level, it just doesn’t matter because you are already really really good.

after re-reading your original post, i suppose my reply was a bit off topic.

from what i have read though, the condition of scopes and sights does not affect their efficiency.

the only thing that is effected by condition, from what i have heard and read…not from personal study, is armor.

well to make it clear:

if your aim is below 1k dont bother with skill mods but skill up

i actually effectively only use lazers to keep my weapons apart lol

Silo’s response wasn’t dumb at all :stuck_out_tongue:
Infact, I know MANY ppl that believe lasers and scopes were just a cheap way for MA to make a buck…
but I still use them  Although, mine are non-decay MUHAHAH

i dont have 9k+ skills, mine are only around 3k and I have a 51% skill mod with 2 lasers and scope.

I tried with and without the lasers and found i was consistently getting higher damage with them and lower damage without them.

:wise:
i checked out this thing in few trustable ways:

  1. loging all damages which ones i do and made 2 tests (actualy much more, but it doesnt mater) 2 k shoots and 3 k shots. this test was made to check out if scopes and lasers add some extra damage - first test was without atachments others was wirh 35,5% atachment bonus. (i thin k35% is enought to see diference if it exists) results was identical - NO DAMAGE bonus.
  2. other theory - atachments give some extra skill checks - ur skills grow faster - tested with 10k shots on total n00b avatars (all skills was 0) with no atachments and with 52,5% atachmens (garguls, hanzor) results was same - actualy with atachments few skill points less
  3. u hit more % with atachments - its imposible to test for 100% sure - because most misses are gona happen in lag. i made few tests - results was too diferent in all of them. sometimes i made more % hits w/o atachments - sometimes with same configuration in miss like hell (then i feel more lag). maybe there is some diference in hit %, mayb eno t- anyways if there is some - it isnt significant.
  4. u spend more money using atachments - u recieve better or biger loots… i have my own idea about it - atm testing it, only think which one i gonna say - i and my friend bought modified tegretov to get more diference with imp mk2  i already have some interesting results - but tests are not finished yet… playing WoW atm  but i gonna finish them later.

i find it strange that you are getting higher damage with scopes and lasers when they only increase your Aim and have nothing to do with Inflict Ranged Damage.

they may be giving you a higher hit rate and thus you do more damage sooner, but they are not getting you more damage on any given hit.

at least, that is not my understanding of them.

amps increase damage potential, not scopes and sights.

nice first hand knowledge. thanks!

cheerz hunterz for this awsome statement…

..dont ask him about his skills..he is an experienced hunter .P

dont remember corectly, but i made most tests in range Astonishing Ls → Champion Ls. if its so important atm i have rank Elite laser sniper, but last 1,5 months using only BLP gun and spending most my gaming time in WoW

I’m not getting higher damage. Just a larger percentage of higher damage shots, rather than lower damage shots.

I see HunterZ has responded with his knowledge, so I won’t bother. H’es probly right

Riiiight. Everything decays, doesn’t it? Pregold scopes decay too. It was fixed, wasn’t it?

Well, I used high end scopes for the sake of magnification, because they give better zoom. My weapon range is 130, and Alekz thing whatever isnt big enough for my sniping.
Now I just use a Dacascos.

the better the scope the more zoom they give? didn’t know that. cool.

There are many non-decay scopes/lasers in game.

Sbi sold a few recently on EP.
