In PE noone can hear you scream...

This thread is for others to ridicule the sheer nonsense of other peoples fears :wise:

Post here to tell us about any films, books, games or real life event that made you go :scared:

I’ll start… :tongue2:

I CANNOT play the game ‘The Thing’!!! I was desperate to buy it when it was pre-release date… but now it scares the shite out of me that much I can’t play

same goes for Doom 3 :frowning:

oh yeah and when I was 15 I couldnt walk under the attic hatch on my way to bed… I was convinced a Xenomorph (the BAD things from the film Alien) would reach down and bite my noggin off

I bought Silent Hill 3. BAD IDEA.
I played for 5 mins then I turned of my computer.
Tried to play it in the morning. But it was the same. Really scary.

OMG… LOL… not you too!

I bought Silent Hill (the first one) years ago… I was scared stiff

My nana and myself had been playing it for a couple of days (yeah my nana is an uber gamer at 69 years old.. I mean really hehe) she wandered off to make a coffee and I carried on playing… I opened the locker in the school :duh:

Scared the bejeezus outta me

Hmm I remember when the first X-files episode I saw. I was at my dads house and I had a room in the basement. I couldnt have been more then 10, maybe younger. I lied there at night and was deadly afraid that a ufo was gonna land in our garden.

Again, also at my dads when I was around 10; me and my dad was playing this game on playstation that I dont remember the name on. It was the first of at least two games, and theres a film about it now. You play a girl or a boy and your in a city full of zombie’s. Im not sure but I think the name starts with R.
Anyway. We were playing in the middle of the night and everyone else had gone to bed. Sometimes I had to go outside because it was too scary to look at him play.

Arrrgh sounds like Resident Evil… that game scared me too :scared:

Yees Resident Evil. gawd I still remember some scenes in that game

Hmm I know its out on Gamecube now. Maybe I should get a hold of one and play it again! :girl:

Edit:
I just found out that RE was released in 1996 so I was right. I was 10

damn… that means I was 16 at the time.

No excuses for me then … I just have a highly over-active imagination :tongue2:

Hmm your scared of beeing watched ?

Silent Hill was class!

I was sitting in my house alone, in the dark when I first fired that into my PS. Eerie, atmospheric, moody and chilling. No ther game came close even now

Hmmm one of the most scary things that comes to mind is the work of the wonderful American author Edgar Alan Poe. I have read a bit of him, and repeatedly sitting on the edge of my seat in sheer horror I continued on, page after page… only to be unable to sleep for days on end. Needless to say I have not read him in at least 10 years
The one story that comes to mind I have long since forgotten the name of, but will do a google search and see if I can find it. In short, it’s the story of someone who, due to a very particular predicament, is buried alive… Gah! I get the shivers thinking about it.

The Cask of Amontillado is one where an idividual gets buried alive… read it in school many many moons ago.

Try H.P. Lovecraft if ya want spookie!

There has been games “Phantasmagoria” and movies that made me jump a lil but…
As I walk thru the valley of the shadow of Death I shall fear no Evil!
For I am the baddest Mother F@&#er in the valley :evilking:
NO FEAR! It is only a crutch :wise:

just don’t ask me to climb a ladder…

Ok…I could pretend to be macho and say…I’m not scared of anything but, that wouldn’t be true now would it. Here we go…

The 1st Steven King book I ever read was IT. I was in the middle of a really intense part and my wife…whom I thought was asleep…gave me the old ‘grab and make the scary noise’ routine. The book flew out of my hands and my rear-end came out of the bed about 6 feet.

I love the X-Files! But there were 2 episodes that totally freaked me out. I can’t remember the name of the 1st one but, it had to do with Devil Worship..couldn’t even go outside for a cigarette after watching that one. The second one is called ‘Home’. After it’s initial release, Fox wouldn’t re-run it because it was too disturbing. I have it on video. Creepy!

Doom 3 made me jump at 1st…but, I’ve mastered it now.

Several movies…all of which I have watched by the way…Alien, Saw, Jaws…which leads me to my next one…

Sharks! You will never see old wolf, dog paddling around in the ocean. I mean think about it…you’re in their element…you’ll NEVER out-swim a shark.

And finally…needles. :scared: If you’re going to stick me with something sharp…I better be dying.

Evil Dead 3..I was 9, seeing people get decapitated graphically scared the shit out of me since one of the zombies looked kind of like my aunt

Now I find decapitations on film funny

Hmm one of the Evil Dead films made me wince.. the one where someone gets stabbed in the ankle with an HB Pencil :painter: NOT good :scared:

I seem to remember a film called “Blood Beach” I think - was a long long time ago… I was 10

Nasty thingies that sucked you right into the sand while u were sunbathing and ate you

Was ages till I went back on the beach :duh:
