How can a noob player (almost Initiated) cannot get any HOF…?
I didn’t get any HOF so far… spent a lot of hard cold cash and nothin in return.
I see big players getting 1-4 loots per day (20k ammo to call it that way)
I usualy go out with 5 axes and a rascal armor (so u know what i can and what i can’t hunt)
I’ve seen players getting hofs on Cornundacauda Young, Bery Young, Daikiba Young, Exaurosaur Young… though never me…
try hunting 6-7 hours a day 
It sounds strange but when I have gotten HoFs it is when I am not looking for or expecting it.
I say try to have fun and worry about being efficient, the HoFs will come :wise:

yea just try to hunt efficnetly and gain skills the hof’s will come. At least thats what i tell myself after 1.25 years and not hofing not that i think with my skills i deserve one, I’ve made friends that are worth more then hof’s that have made my life on Calypso FUN!)

Think how many players hunt those hours and hours every day…
I dont think Im too far away from truth if I say that those mobs are hunted at least 10000 hours per day (~400 players hunt them all the time). And that gives how many globals/hofs? Maybe 20 per day together.
If you hunt them 10 hours per day you might expect global/hof every 50th day

There are many theories in existence in regards to hoffing. The one true thing, however, is what every1 has already stated…
a). Most “Uber” players are hunting everyday for hours and hours straight…
This automatically increases their chances of hoffing of course.
b). As Essi pointed out, think of ALL of the ppl hunting the mobs you are… I
do not know the statistic, but probably 98% of them will not hof or global
on that mob in any given day.
c). Just relax and enjoy the game… learn to do without a hof. If you become
skilled enough to not lose too much money on hunts (with a little luck
of course) you will have fun regardless…
*Svetka- rarely hofs but almost always breaks even and is quite satisfied

Yeah.
Even there are theories about counting lines on a MAP to get a HoF no one of those who told about have a HoF per Day.
Just waste a few k PEDs and wonder about your first HoF.

How often you see someone hoffing 5 times per day with those mobs you listed? 
Do not try to find a HoF, thats impossible.
Instead, only try to realize the truth.
It is not you that finds the HoF, it is the HoF that finds you.

The best way to get a HoF is not to go looking for it. If you play trying to get one you will be sorely disappointed.
Play to have fun…and one will pop up when you least expect it.
Also,be happy with minis and globals. Those happen more frequently.
Oh yeah… I forgot! Pray to the HoF gods on a regular basis!

People try to figure out the system to get good hofs, where to be at what time and so on. But the best strategy I’ve found is to just stay put and hunt the same spawn continously with a big gun to kill the mob as fast as possible.

yes- and it’s important for newbies to understand that just b/c certain ppl hof frequently does not mean that they are actually on top of their peds… most ppl I know that hunt all the time and frequently hof are putting in some serious money to do so

in fact my theory is that MA has psychics working for them.
a whole center full of psychics. it is ESP headquarters.

the only hof i have ever recieved, (650ped combibo) occured when the following thought was running through my head
“hmm.. i wonder if i even like this game anymore.. i’ve spent over 100usd on it.. and i still barely have ‘acceptable’ equipment. is this addiction really worth it? my friendslist is empty.. ive already learned that ill never be an uber.. why do i even bother? .. hmm.. i wonder how much harddrive space I would free up if i uninstalled PE–BANG, HOF!@ OMG!@”
i shit you not. it was the one time in my pe-career when i was seriously thinking about quitting, and up popped the hof.
alternately, when i go out “hunting for a hof” .. (i.e. take a lot of ammo and dont stop until i get something good?)
i usually end up back in town, BROKE AS HELL from HUNDREDS of ‘this creature has nothing to loot, sucker’ messages.

Ask my soc, same thing happened to me. I had sold everything, said goodbye to everyone, waited for last auction to end. Got bored, bought an axe, and poff, there was the hof.

Interesting.
However, it does mean that your hunting trips had been crappy so far and something very high had to come in order to cover the losses, sooner or later.
No need to have telepathy skills to give a HoF when someone needs it badly. I think everyone’s loots are tracked down and when the big one happens, it mainly depends on how high your losses are.
Having too much luck kills this theory, though

they are not on those mobs. allso HOFs are very rare.. globals are common. I hunted like a freak last weak and had 13 globals but not a single hof.. the thing is, you gotta kill mobs insanely fast and u gotta hunt ALOT of hours.. I mean when I was hunting it took maybe 2-3 hours to use 300 ped ammo + 150 ped gun decay. had maybe a global each 3rd hunt 
.. go and do that and THEN maybe then u can complain…
Better just to forget hofs and concentrate on breaking even. Take hofs as nice surprises when or if they come.
