Hi im a NEW hunter, i having some serious bad luck out killing, i hunt with my mann mph east of fort troy killing Daikiba’s n Exosaurs, skilling. even taking out the odd guardian. but i seem to be doing something wrong. i have a full rascal armour, i spend 5ped on repairs n 20ped on ammo, i go out n hunt and i come back with 5-10ped, what am i doing wrong? im lvl 460 handgun
i don’t think you are doing anything wrong.
its the same for me but just on a much bigger scale.

Try month after month. 
Oh, and I suggest giving pixie a try.
I usually get around 2ped decay with pixie on a 50ped hunt and never above 3ped for sure.

You have entered what is called project entropia. You are doing everything right. But mindark is a company created to make money. You will get yours soon im sure. But if not, do dispair… there are lots like you out there that have put in more time and money with less results! Just when you think there is nothing left to play for you will hit a HoF worth 60 bux and be hooked!!

Ok im guessing after reading tons of posts we are all in the same boat, so im right in saying loots dont get better but as ur skills increase your pec per kill decreases?

well today i spent 40ped and got 35 in return so it better than yesterday, so i shall persist to annihalate any cretin or creature that steps in my path!

here are a couple of things, maybe useful, maybe not.
your mob selection seems to be good. having an area where there are two different mobs can help out.
the rascal armor might be a bit much. depends on what your evade is. but, as you say you are repairing it 5 ped per run…i’d say you are not ready for rascal. my evade isn’t that high at all (under 500 still) and i rarely have to repair my rascal more than 3 ped per run (and that is melee fighting where everything is up close and personal).
going to pixie however my necessitate you FAPing more. so, either you’ll pay FAP decay or armor decay. but, at least with the FAP decay you are gaining skills.
to break the monotany of hunting in the same place each day/night, i suggest you go hit some other areas. NW of Port Atlantis is home to berycled young and adults as well as daikiba youngs. with your rascal, you won’t have any problems. there are also a few other mobs that are near that area if you want to try something bigger (cornucauda).
another obvious spot is E and SE of Port Atlantis, home of the great combibo and exarosaur herds.
i haven’t skilled handgun before, but have a disciple who is doing it. from what he has mentioned, he doesn’t kill many mobs with that MPH.
about how many mobs are you killing on a run? i ask because one of the keys to breaking even or turning a profit is to take out a bunch of mobs during a single run…the more you kill the higher your chance of getting a mini (anything over a few ped but not a global), which is usually a requirement of getting a worthwhile return.

well today im gutted, im broke…
i hunt 30-50mobs at least per outing, all i get is no loot after no loot follwed by no loot then i get 2pec, to be honest im pissed off, i play 10+ hrs a day & 900ped should of got me going on this game but its got me to 570 handgun and now i cant continue, ive tried S of PA E of PA, N of PA and all around troy.
all my mentor says is that its just bad luck, and that i should continue skilling with my mann, everything i have or am doing is because my mentor told me

hmm, that sucks. it sounds like your mentor has given you good advice. you are doing the right stuff. i hate to chalk it up as “bad luck” but to a large degree that sounds like what you have.
i am afraid that i am tpped out on advice to give you that will enable you to all of the sudden turn a profit. 
should i keep using the mann or should i upgrade to a better handgun? if so which 1, ive been looking on the weapons charts and i see whats what, but i dont kno whether to get a new weap or stick with the mann till i reach 1200
Keep your mann and shoot mobs to lore them too you and bust out an axe kill them easily and you’ll get more kills…maybe have 5 full axes on a hunt :D…Skilling however means your going for the low end mobs and the low end mobs either have an insane loot or nothing and the occasional 2 PED or 2 pec
I think you should try to switch areas if loot is bad where you are skilling. Go somewhere else and skill on another mob. I know some people think this does not matter, that the loot is tied to the avatar and time independent of the location, and that this will pay off in the long run since you are bound to get something good sooner or later. Im almost certain that it is not. For me different areas tend to loot good or bad so when the loot is bad I try another area. And Im only skilling atm. So, if loots suck in one area go somewhere else.

i am one of those people that disagrees with this. but, i’d like to hear why you are certain that it is the way you say it is. not with the purpose of arguing it, but to be open and hear the other side of the story.

Well Im certain because of my own experiences. When loots suck they usually are better in other areas. Sure, it might be the case that loots in general change just at the same time as I change area, but it seems kind of strange that they ALWAYS change when I change area. Guess its best to try things out and see what works best for you.
