The Income from this is surely a Long Time Goal of MindArk to improve the Earnings they made. But there is a Psychological Border, theys totally Unrational i see people wasting Tons of Monney where they could pay an Eternety for Appartment Rent but scare to the 10 Ped Costs… This Payment is a Psychological Barrier who prevent a lot of People from using the Appartments.
I would Like a “Limited Buy” Option. If you pay 3 Years Rental in Advance your Avatar have never ever to Pay again a Rent. This is bound to the Avatar and if he Trade the Appartment the new Owner have to Pay Rents again.
I Belive MindArk wouldnt change the Appartments to a non Renting Modell because they Aim on Longterm Profit with it so i dont Suggested that. But the Payout Option could interessting for MindArk and for the People who use PE.
Another Aspect is the “LifeTime” Holding of your Account. What happen to all the Estates and Landareas from People who just Quit PE forever or Died ?
I would wish me a System to Return This Virtual Items into PE for everyone after a very Reasonable Time a account wasnt used.
I know some Arguments speak against a Limited Holding of an Account but some of my Arguments are also good. Maybe its not yet a Problem but it can become one with the Time.
well if you dont pay the monthly fee and it expires… the apt is still yours, you dont lose it, but you (and anyone else) wont be able to enter it until you pay it… so if you dont play PE for a few months, and no rent is paid in those months, when you come back, you will still own it, but cant enter it till you pay at least 1 month of rent

Noooooo To clarify…
You only pay the 10 ped if you wish to use the apartment (ie enter it) and it lasts for 30 days. If you take months off, you don’t need to pay back rent You just cannot use the apartment (but who cares b/c you aren’t in game anyway).
