As part of my new player experience (started in August) I made the decision to open 1,000 of each seasonal strongbox. Verified the openings from inventory on EU website and collated in excel. Each set was opened separately, ex: I opened all the Christmas boxes before starting on the summer ones. This process took place on different days, across a month, all being opened on the same day chosen, except for the Easter boxes, which was spaced out. I am not trying to ‘break the code’ on best times to open, I am merely sharing what I opened from each box set, so anyone new or otherwise interested in doing the same or similar has some baseline of what to expect (your miles may vary, obviously)

Dont think that when you open matters since the content is created when the boxes dropped but that just my opinion
Gotten 2 seasonals rings and recently a rare token here in around 2500 keys here
Doesn’t the recent “Could not execute” box drama indicate that time of opening is at least a factor?

You should always get back 10ped TT from box.
Overall I evaluate it as quite good/normal.

You won’t if you get pets or pet naming trinkets. Been that way for a while.
He’s lucky it was only 8ped.
No nice ring is always feels bad, we always expect to get a shiny ring when opening lot of boxes.
But the result overall is fine. Pills itself about covers all the box mu’s, rings, amps, mayhem tokens and skill pills are bonus.
Also it is strange the boxes drops again 10mg pills.
That’s been proven false hundreds of times since the wave base system began.

Thanks - yeah it was pretty disheartening for me. Was told by a few people beforehand, I would ‘definitely’ hit something with that many, so went into it with the expectation that I would get some ring of value (1k+). Have better expectations for the future now, if I ever decide to do that again.

Eudoracell! Pets are definitely interesting. At some point I’m going to a need a Dhampyre… for… reasons.

Have opened my share of boxes too and can confirm this is pretty good outcome and in line with what to expect.
This is the thing i hate the game most for.
People creating false image what to expect well maybe not creating but supporting the “could be”.

Well, you can get a ring from 1 box, happened once, one of my favourite story.

Unfortunately the screenshot is lost over the time, but as you would expect a f2p player opened his first ever box, guy naked, sweat tool equipped, ped card at 0.XX ped, something like this as i remember, but it was long time ago 
Im at 1 seasonal ring and 1 rare token in 25k boxes.
Thankyou for the data, so appears that 1 ring drops on 1000 openings.
So if we look at number of rings looted on a particular day, would this equate to how many thousands of boxes opened that day I wonder?
You can have few rings opening 100-200 boxes, all depends are you doing it when there is loot wave or not.
Many people get 3-4 rings withing few minutes.

Before migration i opened 5k boxes and got around 20 rings from it
The question is: “Will you do it again?”
A box is merely a token that initiates the loot creation, it doesn’t contain anything. A box from 5 years ago isn’t different in any way from a freshly looted one of the same season. If you say have an Xmas box from 2022 it could drop the 2022 seasonal ring up until xmas 2023 season when the ring got replaced, and now you could loot only the new 2023 ring from it, and so on, which was demonstrated plenty of times.
