Hey everyone! It is time to spawn the Hussk for the second time (and hopefully it loots this time).
Part One: Getting There - VERY IMPORTANT
The Hussk spawns right in the middle of the PvP island called ‘Mount Hephaestos’. It is located around 45200, 61600 on Calypso. In order to get there, you NEED to have the whole vaccine mission chain completed, otherwise you will die every time you try and enter the island.
The vaccine mission chain does take a few hours and a decent amount of PED cycled to finish, so I recommend getting it done well beforehand. There’s also enough information on entropedia and the forum for getting it done that I won’t list all the steps here, but I will try to answer as many questions as possible.
Part Two: The loot
Since the first Hussk was bugged, we don’t know what kind of things it will loot, but I’m assuming it will be like the first successfully looted Sand King and carry tons of shiny items.
However, unlike the Sand King, which is spawned by a community effort by just killing a bunch of mobs, the Hussk costs a lot of PED worth of items to spawn and is paid for by one person (or a group of individuals in this case) - and the loot is given randomly to whomever is shooting at it.
Going by the stats of the Hussk from the first time around, it’ll take ~8K PED to kill if we do it right the first time, while the cost to summon it is estimated to be 4000-5000 PED. That means we’re paying around 30% of the cost to summon and kill it up front without ANY better chances of getting nice items from the loot than anybody else or any PED back.
In order for us to be able to do this, we’re asking that anybody that loots an item ‘donates’ 20% of the total value of any items looted to those of us that summoned the Hussk to help cover the cost.
Part Three: Killing the Hussk
Since this isn’t the first time killing the Hussk, we at least have a rough idea of how hard it is to take down. It has 1.95 MILLION health, roughly 2500 HP regenerated per second, does 95% of your EVERYBODIES current health in damage roughly every 10 seconds, and has a main attack that does roughly 300 burn/peneish damage (well isn’t imp/cut/stab and decays 6a plates). That means it takes over 50 people with big-ass guns firing at it non-stop to even dent its regeneration (and they’ll be dying left and right). So a recommended amount of people to take this bitch down is 150 (our first attempt at killing it was ~100 people and we couldn’t even hurt it).
So a few things, bring a cheap fast fap such as an herb box to keep your hp above 10 when it hits you with its AoE (staying above 2 health will allow you to survive its 95% damage hit). Also bring a big teleport chip and lots of mind essense, the distance from revive to the hussk is just over 2 minor chips away, and there’s lots of rough edges you can fall down and die on when on your way back.
Pending enough people show up and listen to instructions, it’ll take 10-30 minutes to kill once we start shooting (depending how many people show up and how well they can listen to instructions), so you also need to bring enough ammo and have a gun that will last that long.
Part Four: The time
I plan on spawning the Hussk on April 7th, 2012 at 18:00 MA time. This will only happen if enough people are at the crater ready to go, so show up 10-15 minutes early, bring as many friends as you can, and SPREAD THE WORD. Not everyone reads the forum daily, so link this thread to everyone you think would be interested.
This will require tons of community effort, so please no shooting each other while the killing is in progress (have as much fun killing each other afterwards though).
Part Five: Teamspeak Server
MindStar Media has been awesome enough to set us up a teamspeak server specifically for the Hussk event. Get Teamspeak downloaded and installed from http://www.teamspeak.com/ if you want to listen in, and details will be given out to all those that show up for the killing.
Hope to see you all there, and LETS HAVE FUN!
