One of the things I would love MA / PE to put in game is hot keys for Armor sets , or even just that you can keep them in the number slots for easy finding
What I mean is something like this
key 1 Shadow Set
Key 2 Nemis set
Key 3 pixie
key 4 Remove armor
this way you can easily switch to the armor that is needed to kill an certain mob instead of fumbling threw your inventory which in my case can get all messed up with sets mixed up with other sets.. And yes I do put all my sets together like all shadow parts on top and nem 2nd but for some reason they get mixed up some times and its an pain to find like that one part that has moved to like the bottom of the inventory.
It can be an pain after killing an aoa and then having and artox stalker spawn on you fumbling threw inventory to find the shadow set
Ive actually used several different types of bodyarmor IRL, and i can say one thing for sure.. it takes TIME to change an entire suit of bodyarmor. Its simply not something you do in the blink of an eye, as you can do with drawing a pistol instead of shooting the rifle..
Dont make much sense to be able to do it ingame either in my opinion.
However, for us vets with several armors it could be useful..
“Oh, no.. hes using BLP” pressing vain hotkey
“Oh, no.. Laser” Pressing salamander hotkey
But then again.. I guess that kinda would create more unbalance than it is already..
Perhaps MA could instate it so that it cannot be used while in pvp zones, reducing the possibilites of the situations already stated. The only remaining problem then is what to do with amathera… :loco:

Well I used body armor too in rl and bad enough just carrying one armor set around
mod fap or any fap is not real either
lol if you get hit by an bullet or stabbed no first aid in the world is going to repair you instantly.. not yet..
Im not talking of reality im talking of pe and an customer connivance
pvp was not really thinking of using it for; so can see your point and maybe some negative aspect can be used
heard the idea many times before and its bad allready i think we have way to fast switching of items and its also one of the big balance/stability issues in the game i wouldnt mind if it took a few secs to switch between your riffle and your medkit
yes it doesnt make sense by a reality standpoint.. in realy life it would take much longer to switch armor than even with the way it currently is.
As nicole said there is alot of things that dont quite work out in real life such as fap, and even the armor we have, or even teh revival terms.
From a convienience standpoint it would be very nice thing to have…
An example.. your hunting gradivore and all assudden an atrox takes interest in you. for the gradifore you have goblin on wich doesnt protect much with agaist trox. or your hunting mobs with electrical damage in t-bird.. that doesnt help against trox. This would help against that.
either that or Ma needs to make is so mobs dont mix so heavy like that, but then that would kinda ruin things i would rather justhot keys for armors..
Even can be with a special mini TP device that you attach to the armor that automatically makes it so it automattically gets out of inventory and puts it on you. a device that either takes ammo for energy and decays or even is a limited use device. It would come in a kinda control module that you can wear and it stores your settings (maybe have it so that part isnt la limited item) then have the devices come in packs of 6 that attach to each armor piece and binds to the control module. you can then assign the module to a hotkey and when you use it you can then press another key to put it all one in one go. With this way it would make it so it is more realistic and increase the liklihood that MA would put it in.
I voted for the hot key, simply cuz I’de like one. But thats just what I would like, but I have to agree, it would’nt make sense and maybe thats why it hasnt been implemented.
I think there is a world of difference between swapping weapons, which can easily be thrown accross your back on some sort of harness or belt, than strippin down to ya strides and puttin on a new armour set in mid battle.

Actually.. There IS medical treatment that does infact stop bleedings or save your life instantly. Athropene is one of such medicaments which is used to save you from otherwise lethal gas. There is nice little drops you can use to stop bleedings. A simple lighter and some bandage can stop a lethal bleeding if used properly..
It takes more than 2 seconds tho.. And its a temporary fix untill you get to the hospital, but you will survive..
On the other hand 2 seconds to heal compared to using athropene or putting preassure on a wound is not THAT bad if you compare it 2 seconds for switching an entire set of bodyarmor..
I’ve said so in previous threads, I like this idea. However, seen the time issue, I won’t mind if it takes the same amount of time it would take should I manually switch armors.
I think it’s a bit much to compare every ( little ) detail of PE against reality PE is simply not even close to reality, but that’s besides the point.
I would be satisfied if I could switch armor parts with hotkeys instead of complete sets. 6 hotkeys have to be used and there could be a delay when you change the parts. I’m just tired of having to get into the inventory and drag the mouse back and forwards.
Well, I think that most people that think hotkeys is a good idea is thinking “hmm.. hotkey so i can instaswap armor if i need to in pvp”
and i dont really think people would bother setting it up if there was a say 20s delay imposed in order to swap the entire set..
I know i wouldnt anyways

Im aware of that but you going to take that and in 1/10 of secound be 100% like it never happend? get the m16 and start kicking ass or at the very least you going to need to be taken to an med unit and out of the fight?
PS you try sticking your self with Athropene in the heart (not like I had to do it) and then see how battle ready you are after that hehhe

This is more like what im talking about; maybe not as long as 20 secs but this is good for me
I voted yes but i think now i should have said no.
What i would like is more practical. Simply a Remove armour button. Simply becasue to take my mask and gloves off it uses takes a couple of tries for me. Mabey i’m just a newb or something but i find it difficult. I dont care if it was instant or not but it would be nice to hit one button and your armour would come off like one at a time even if it was 1 sec per piece. Then you would still have to put on your different armour which putting on armour is a LOT easyer then taking it off i find. So i would be ok with the above.

I agree. No on hotkeys but a disable armor button would be great.
It’s a great idea. Maybe they could make the “Harness” hotkey represent all of that type you are carrying. Click the Nem Harness, and bang you are wearing your Nem.
Wearing this or that armor while hunting something specific is part of strategical gameplay. Beeing prepared for some tough mobs to attack and then deciding to rather use one set of armor instead of another one while in a certain area is a decision that should be made according to the situation.
If you get caught off guard for a moment and need to fumble through inventory to put on some other armor you’ve probably made a wrong choice and it should take time, you should have to fumble around if you want to change armor while in combat or shortly before it.
I think it’s perfectly fine as it is, no need at all for armor hot-keys.

Well my problem is alot of times I hunt with no armor and pe always has an habbit of spawning an mob right on me that is why I would like an instant armor on feature..
Like one time I was hunting no armor at the rig and had this artox alpha almost dead and I see an red dot spawn right behind me another artox
Another time I was killing an Artox old alpha up N/W of pvp 1 and lol guess what another AOA spawns behind me.. Im fumbling threw inventory to change my nemesis to shadow but was way too late
Yeah the simple thing would be to wear shadow all the time but its very darn expensive to do that
