Maybe we can do something to help our PE brothers and sisters that where scammed?
I would be willing to donate to an fund 500 peds to help out people victimized by this, what do you think?

I think its a very good idea but what will u do to prevent people from scamming the fond?
I mean it would be easy to manipulate pictures with photoshop so screenies wouldn’t be good as evidence.
And if it only should be people who have played for a while - what about people who just started and got scammed and I’ve also heard about people who have played for quite some time that scam others.
What would stop a scammer from scamming his/her way to some free peds?

That’s why I put the post out like this to see what others thought and any problems that could arise.
I also wanted to see how many people would be willing to help first and then the best way to do that, the point of who and how they should be paid is of great concern to me too, and not having the scammers abuse our good intentions.
So the goals of this post is who would think of helping

Super nice thought Nicole! However, I’d have to agree with the other posters that it would be abused.
As a victim, I would have a hard time accepting PEDs/Items as a result of something stupid that I did. Fortunately I didn’t have years of experience and didn’t have much if anything on my PED card at the time (I never do). I did lose about 1500PED worth of items – and my dignity.
So I guess I would direct you to help out only friends or soc m8s that you know you can trust. And wait until the dust settles and see if by some miracle MA does anything. I’m not holding my breath, just writing it off as a learning experience.

Honestly the best thing you can do it teach ppl how not to get scammed in the first place.
I’ve been scamed onece and it was my own fault and i dont expect anyone to feel sorry for me i was just stupid.
Well, maybe the fund would need to be controlled by someone of high trust and someone who wouldnt have really much use of 500 peds, or there should be some list of how much each person gave to the fund holder, i have few respectable people who would be able to do this, anyway, i got scammed once and every ped i could get back would be nice.
I dont have much atm, but i would definatly give around 50 peds. 
I don’t want to sound mean B(, but. Scamming means fooling someone on one basis or another, so profiting on his… erm.. naivity. I would rather help my disciple or my friends.

I agree. The best way would be to implement a beginner scholling, with teachers well known with good reputation. And it would need to be very active towards noobs…I mean adverticing adverticing adverticing! On forums, on advertice boards (when it´s possible) all around Calypso!

Very nice idea Nicole, but I seriously don’t think it would work. There would be way too many problems and people scamming even more.
As a victim of a scammer/stealer myself on PE, I feel for others that get taken by those low-lifes. My soc got scammed out of a hanger worth thousands of PED, and it is payment enough just to see that low-life’s name on a scammer list that is open to the public to read so they can avoid having anything to do with that piece of dirt (the other word I was thinking here would have got censored out. Hehe). For all those dont know my story, you can read it in the Scammer Alert thread on these forums. It is too bad when people use your trust and respect and then screw you over.
Is there any way the Scammer list can be made more public? As far as I know, the only place it is displayed is in Wanda’s signature, but not everyone here knows that.
I dont feel bad for them, I never did and proabbly never will do. I always said to everyone who wanted to listen - THINK what are you doing. DO NOT trust expensive gear to someone you dont know. Do not trust ANYTHING to person you dont know in game for couple years and you know hes rich enough.
People who got scammed probably never learn from other`s mistakes. Well, they have to pay for learning lessons themselves. Education is do damn expensive thing nowdays.
Sorry to revive old thread, but I haven’t been playing since I was hacked and I just found out some of my items I had on auction sold so I have a small amount of seed money to get started again.
I’m not asking for handouts, but would anyone consider selling me some equipment at reasonable rates? If I can get a few items at a decent price I’ll use my deposit money for a Gold Card and try to get back into the game. It’s been a week without PE and I’m really craving to get back in there and go hunting. Here are a couple items I’d like to replace:
