ive been trying to get on to this game for ages and even upgraded my pc but still no joy
basically what happends is when i log on i get anything from between 1 second - 30 seconds before my game screen just disappears and am back at the log on page
i feel as if i have tried everything
my processer is 2.8ghz
my memory is 512mb
motherboard is a jetway
graphics card is a matrox millennium g450 dualhead
i have direct x 9.0
codecs are up to date
allthough when i do that system test it fails on Driver: Unknown, build 1930
i have no idea what that means i have tryed turning off the firewall and also tryed it without being wireless ive tryed turning down colour settings ive reinstalled PE and still nothing my graphics card has the latest drivers installed for it. oh and i even reinstalled windows and still no joy
could it be that my graphics card does work because its not a NVIDIA OR ATI graphics card surley the matrox millennium g450 dualhead should be fine for pe it runs all my other games no problem
As a PC tech, I can tell you that the issue will be becuase you don’t have the latest DirectX ver. The memory shouldn’t be a prob, specially if you have enuff on your AGP card. But just go to the MS site and download the latest version of DX an u should be right to go.
many thanks for your replies ive got the latest directx installed on my pc and am still having the same problem when i run a system check for pe this is what it shows
I have the red “unknown” at graphics too, and had the same problems at beginning. I tried some older drivers, but nothing worked.
At the end I tried the to change the speed of the internet connection, like Kay said. Finaly it worked with 128 kbps, and only with 128 an nothing else. I have a speed of 1024, but who cares :laugh:
tryed that as well and also tryed taking off sound and changing colour settings from 32 to16 and also the screen res but still no joy
ive spent ages going through all the threads here and trying different things feel as if i have run out of things to try and am getting more convinced that my graphics card isnt compatible with PE
yea thats my next move going to get a new card at the weekend am sure its the card as well .
will let you know how i get on

EDIT - just to let you know i finially got my case support and this is what it says.

Your video card Matrox Millennium G450 DualHead is not supported by the PE. PE supports NVIDIA GeForce or ATI Radeon graphics cards only.
However you can try updating your video card drivers. But we cannot guarantee it will solve your problem, as your video card is not supported by the PE.
