Just been to Cuey’s and we were discussing the GC. He uses his a lot as, well, he plays a lot. Now, we may have missed something really obvious, but in order to get a card, you need to be at a TT.
What if, and they will, your card has worn out and you are unable to pop in. Will we have to raise a support case. Will they unregister the card so you are able to log in and buy a new one. This obviously negates the point of having one if this is what would happen. Or will MA remove 200ped from your account and send you a new one and you have to sit tight and wait?
As I’ve said, we may have missed something really simple. Anyone any ideas? I didnt wat to subbmit it as a support case if someone already knows the answer.
Ya- a friend of mine ran over his with his car and I think it was replaced… but evenso, imagine the length of time it takes to send MA your borth certificate (and if you’re like me or many others in North America or Australia that would really be some time), then patiently wait to hear from them and wait again to receive a new one in mail… ffs that could take months!

I accidently broke my card and i talked to lars over phone and they sent me a new for free

Thanks Muppis. So, do you have to reregister the new card or something. I’m a little confused as to how having a new card works. Did Lars register this new card for you or is it something you have to do?

I think it is possible to send birth certificate by fax.
About sending package, it is also possible to use UPS, DHL, FedEx or EMS - express global mail service.
If it urge and you can pay for it, I am sure it will be fixed fast.
IIRC, if you ask for a replacement card, they will ask for birth certificate, and disable the current card so that you can access your account till the new card gets there. then when the new card shows up, you can just activate it like you did the old one and off you go again

So, if your password is stolen, ‘they’ can file a support case, get the card disabled, steal your stuff, and you are screwed? Very secure…

no… once mindark recieves a copy of your birth certificate that verifies it as being YOU, then they can disable the card so you can access your account.
least thats what im pretty sure it said when i activated my card… but that was a while ago
