MA will send you a notice prior to doing anything with your account. even if they lock it you can get it reactivated and probably still have your items as well.

i know this from personal experience, but i don’t know their durations, etc. probably on the website or EULA or something.

If this email you have received is asking for details regarding your Entropia account such as login and password do not give them any information.

I’m not saying this is what has happened in your case, but there are very dubious individuals and companies that may attempt to impersonate Mindark or Pay by cash in an attempt to get login info from you.

As you describe it, this communication does sound strange to me.

:wise:

A PE account can never expire, only be deactivated until you contact support. Just make sure you got screens on all skills and such incase they get resetted

I think you get warning about avatar being deactivated somewhere around 6 months of inactivity (=no logging in).

Warning mail also comes with link which you only need to click to keep your account active for another 6 months again.

phishing

are you sure the mail has arrived from Pay by Cash and not from some scammer?
Beware of phishing! It is dangeruos and very widely form of attack, somebody apparently tries to fish your login and password…

I recommend you to contact MA support first if this COULD happen - expiring of account..

No it wasn’t a Scammer my Email Adress is well Hidden.

The Phrase im Talking about is :

According to our records, your account expiration date is now: 2006-01-14. >This can be verified in your account area on the site you are actually >subscribing to. If there is a difference, the subscription site’s date is the one >you should note.

When it comes time to renew your account, we will email you at the email >address you have provided to us. If your email address changes, please let us >know!

I can NOT see that in my Account Data and this confuses me.

humm are you sure thats not your Paybycash account?

So it IS surely scam…

can you check the headers of that e-mail?
(i think you can do that… check especially the route of the e-mail..

then check if the XXXXX in headers isn’t any suspicious address - if the last hop REALLY comes from paybycash or whoever sent it… if it is not, or it is some confused address - this is not real account refreshing mail & link etc..

but one considerable thing is that they don’t provide any link in e-mail body, so this is not obvious type of phishing.. who knows, maybe i’m just too paraniod
