I logged in to Gateway last night and there were 2 GDs but neither were moving and would not talk to me. Gateway is very quiet anymore so hopefully this will help.
Yeah I agree with this as I lived in NYC for a number of years, while its cool to see, its not very effective. Those Signs are very hard to see from the street and no one really stops to look at them.
As noted, it is not specifically that this was chosen as a method of advertisement but an added bonus that the advertisement appears as long as MA had a photo with their press release with PR newswire.

Funny my wife works for Reuters so If I spent money on CLD’s and then MA spends money in Reuters is money some how coming back to me?

The funny thing is that the ad was supposed to be on a building in Chicago, but somehow it revived in New York.
