again somone misses the point of it all.. you craft to gain skills to craft items that sell at a markup.. if you hit the big one then great but the big mistake is thinking you deserve the big ATH and do things for the purpose of getting one. More fool you and you deserve to lose if you think like that

yeah i agree with some of this and i’ve said that there are aspects that MA need to address in giving the impression of a casino where in my opion there is no casino..mearly personal gambles due to state of mind.
I’m going to log in to EU now and do some sweating as i want certain skills to build up b4 cry2 starts.. i can’t run EU and read EF as i hate window mode… thx so far to those that responded!

EU is becoming more and more of a casino.
Whys that? Because only a year ago, you could grab Opalo and hit say Exas and be 99% sure you will get almost all of it back. I remember that very well. With all the [B]mob regen BS[/B] etc etc its only becoming harder to succeed in this "virtual world". Mining... I used to hit quite a few nice finds of Oil with TT finder a week and that allowed me to have [B]fun[/B]. Now that is almost impossible, because when I set out to hunt or mine I have constant stress about making even. Im not even gonna start on “crafting”. Those are the genuine slot machines, no doubt about, imho.
Now, I havent started playing Entropia to get rich or anything. Here just for fun and gaming. Now, can anyone explain to me how the hell is it fun to loose 10$ on hour of hunting the easiest possible mobs with Opalo and no armor? They even dont hit that much that you actually have to fap yourself…
We talking about skills? Well, Im not skilled enough for Hoggs, but Im damn sure on maxed Opalo and some Evade I should be rocking on Daikis, Exa, Snables etc etc.
MAs pushed it too far. Greed got the most of it. And for the ever decreasing minority that actually talks good things about EU.. Pray you dont hit 4 months without an global. Your opinion will differ drastically…

All of the “gaming” parts of EU are gambling.
Loots are random in Hunting, Mining, and Crafting otherwise people with no or little skills could never get “lucky” and hit the jackpot. Skills may or may not matter but you’ll never know because MA/FPC won’t tell you. Not too many people join now with the hope of getting high skills and becoming uber unless they are wealthy or just uninformed or plan on it taking 10 years.
Good gamblers can reduce the costs but the outcome is still random and easily adjusted by MA without anyone knowing. In a real casino the odds are well known through math for every game. EU, no odds are posted and have to be figured out by the community. The games of chance are just more complex in EU.
All the other parts of EU which revolve around trading and providing services to other people are a job. Some people do have fun at work. :laugh:
So it’s a casino or a job or just a glorified social network. You won’t attract too many “gamers” with that formula. Boredom quickly sets in for a lot of people, which is why I think the “new planets” population explosion a lot of people are expecting will just be a bulge and then a fizzle unless they drastically improve the gameplay and clean up all the broken systems they started and never finished. Give them another 5 years or so the game might be out of beta testing.
Anyone complaining about it being gambling must like to gamble or they wouldn’t be doing it…
Sell out and get it over with if you don’t like it, just don’t whine about it here.

Might not be a “casino” but probably a gamble. A game where skills would make you get better loot would have few players, not going well at all.
I guess ive become famous of sorts, atleast known, I am a living proof that everything can happen. EU is Dynamic? not that I know what that means but real life is dynamic.. ish.. I guess 
just like in real life, anything can happen, nothing is set to be as it happens i think
you can program a game, a program, software to do as you wish and it will do so, but if you put in a “random” factor in it, everything goes like in real life you can kick a ball into a wall once, it will bounce off, doing it to get it to do the exact 100% same thing is mere impossible no?
I believe the messages serve as a way to show people who may be experiencing losses from their activities (no matter what they do) that at least someone is getting loot. The money spent is not ALL being kept by MA.
If I hadn’t seen global messages I would have quit the first time I got a 40% return.
Regarding that the game is expensive to play couldn’t agree more.
Few weeks ago out of borimness i’ve crunched some numbers.
Looks like to use Isis LR 53 + 104 AMP would cost roughly 55$/hour.
So with the loot covering at least 70% of the expenses it’s at least 16.5$/hour loss.
Ofcourse there are some nice times where a global of a hof might cover the loss, but over all anydeposit eventualy goes down the drain if you ask me.
It’s not a casino.
In Entropia, if you are marked as “bad loot” for a month, you will have bad loot for a month.
Last global 10th April - and thats not for want of trying. 
Rigged? It’s on a slant that’s for sure.
They could solve that question by being more forthcoming on their website and explain how they get paid and where the rest of the money goes.
The jackpot announcements tell you nothing about how much is being returned to the players. For the most part, they also do not help you know where to hunt, mine, or craft as there are way too many variables involved.
Those messages are there for the exact same reason that slot machines make noise when someone hits a jackpot and if they keep you playing when you are getting bad loot, then they are doing their job.
Aside from the “shoot an atrox, win some money, and buy yourself a pizza” aspect, it is a very one-dimensional game and no one would stick around.
