Entropia Universe 19.9.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • A new Umbranoid mutant outpost has been reported to the west of Nymphtown, colonists are advised to approach with caution.

  • All players can claim their own instanced apartment by talking to Lt Dan in Port Atlantis. These serve as a basic apartment for all players. It is only possible to use the lowest level cooking terminal inside, and crafting terminals are not possible to use.

  • The increased fishing activity has disturbed the local ecosystem, drawing the attention of nearby wildlife. While reeling in a catch, fishers may now occasionally encounter creatures attracted by the commotion.

    • Fishermen and sailors report sightings of an undocumented creature in the ocean’s depths. Once dismissed as superstition, recent encounters suggest otherwise.

    • In response to rising maritime threats, engineers have developed a new line of specialized weapons designed exclusively for naval use.

  • Added new increased tier-rate attachments for weapons and mining tools, speak with NPCs at the Umbranoid enclave

  • New Chain Lightning MF chips have been added

  • The complete set of SolSec Armour is now obtainable

With a solid pressure of excitement, I have however two questions: Looking at the UL fishing BPs, they can be placed now in dedicated fishing BP books. However, neither the Technician nor the fishing BP terminal provide these books yet. As all seems to be prepared on the side of BPs, when can we finally get these books. I asked, because personal storage after the fishing/cooking update became a rather precious commodity, and it would be great if we could place these BPs in books to make a bit room.

My second question, or more precisely suggestion, concerns the raw fish. After the patch following the fishing/cooking release, raw fish was added to the cooking recipes for buffed food. In this sense, raw fish became a core resource, just like sweat, fruits, stone, and everything else one can hunt or mine. In that regard, it should be tradeable on the AH to be in line with the general principals of the economy. This would benefit everybody: Fishers (they finally can offer their catch to a wider public), cooks (they can purchase all their ingredients on the auction, just like crafters), and MA (auction fee comes to mind). My question, I guess, is whether this is planned. As a constructive suggestion, one could imagine a dedicated “Trader” just for raw fish (akin to the trader for the AH), allowing access to the “fish market”. Anyway, just an idea

Anyway, with that being off my chest, thanks again for yet another fantastic update to our world. I am certainly not alone in saying that the last couple of years has been the most exciting ones to be alive in Entropia!!! Kudos to the dev-team from Le Mans!

Why not adding the free apartments at the same time with the sale of a big batch of th regular apartments?

It doesn’t feel right. People purchased apartments and waited for them for weeks and one month later everyone can get a fee one? (granted, with limitations) Why not adding these both at the same time so people not spend money on the other ones if they wanted just the basic stuff?

It doesn’t feel right at all and sadly falls in line with the strategy used ever since TWEN - shortly after people spent a ton on an upgrade, similar stuff is added next VUs at a much lower cost…

Do new free appartments really lower existing ones value? You still need to buy old one if you wish to practise higher tier cooking?

Trust is a big thing in a economy, apart from market fluctuations MindArk should do all to not influence the players item value’s. But they seem to have lost connection with the economy, game and playerbase.

The way they take away items, devalue items, neglect broken game systems and (the worst of it all) being quiet about it towards the playerbase.

Thats not the point.

This is another F U to people investing in this game. I bought an apartment just for cooking for inflated 2K price and now everyone gets a free one because MA need to fix what they did not calculate. This is such a bad way of doing this. Fix on fix on fix, instead of thinking a bit about how certain things will effect the game.

I dont blame people that left or dont put money in this game anymore.

Its tiresome and frustrating.

Enter The Enclave mission is broken, or just badly designed. Quest giver was talking about different mobs and about bosses, yet only novices counts apparently towards the progress.

Can we maybe get confirmation about it? Is it only novices by design or by bug? If due to bug, will we get progress increase based on cycle on bigger mobs? Is the progress amount required correct?

BTW, why use 5 cm progress bar for 200k turnover mission?

Why should MindArk protect your bad investments?

Are you requesting a bailout? Bags too heavy?

The game is evolving and moving forward, hopefully attracting new participants. This requires that the economy and it’s professions are accessible to everyone. Gatekeeping core functionality behind player created markup is wrong and bad design.

You paid 2k of player derived markup (not MindArk’s doing) to try and earn profits from an emerging activity by establishing yourself first. You took risk to do so knowing things are moving fast and MindArk’s past trends, yet proceeded anyway. Stop complaining.

I don’t play since march- my longest break since 2020, when i play daily. For me it is over since they change system- players point it out then they put the changes in notes, and then huge bans for bots and macros and puff- we have synth- ma bots.

I can complain, i miss playing entropia. See others post here about ma action that cost a huge numbers of players.

2020 was a total anomaly. The truth is, Entropia was already dying long before then, and the blame lies squarely on the uber players who spent years demanding and receiving the exact updates they wanted. They bled the cash cow dry until it was crippled.

The ultimate irony is that most of these “ubers” wouldn’t even have that status if they hadn’t been allowed to abuse botting, exploits, and corruption for years. They spent a decade pulling up the ladder behind them, and now they’re furious.

Recent updates have aimed to make the game more accessible and less of a blatant pyramid scheme (even if that remains the core economy). Predictably, the players who used to profit from that toxicity are now throwing tantrums. They are losing their preferential treatment from MindArk, and they’re panicking because they can no longer use new and mid-level players as human shields to protect their own wallets.

Thank you, MindArk. After reading the 19.9.0 patch notes, I realized that some of the assumptions I had made — and even posted — weren’t accurate. I let the current state of things color my thinking, and that led me to some negative conclusions that weren’t fair. If I gave the impression that I didn’t appreciate the work being done, I apologize.

This VU clearly shows that the door is still open for Rocktropia’s future, and that Cyrene is receiving active development — both of which contradict the idea that these planets were abandoned. I’ll be keeping up with patch notes from now on.

One small note: the EULA, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy links on the official site currently lead to dead pages. It’s probably just a simple website XML issue, but as a player I do rely on those documents from time to time to understand expectations and obligations. I imagine they’re missing simply because no one noticed.

Thanks again for the work you’re doing.

I get why it feels frustrating when something you bought earlier becomes easier for new players to obtain later. Entropia’s economy has always worked that way — timing matters, and sometimes we pay more for something because we wanted it at that moment or in that location.

I’ve paid 5k for an apartment myself because it was the one I wanted in Celeste on Arkadia. One of those almost never shows up for sale, and I snagged it. That doesn’t make it unfair when MA introduces a starter apartment for new players — it’s just part of how the universe evolves over time.

The free PA studio is tiny and meant as an onboarding tool, not a replacement for the apartments players buy for location, size, or prestige.

These links are working correctly for me. Could you give a bit more information on the issue? Do you get some sort of error message? Which browser have you used, and could you perhaps try a different one?

Thank you in advance!

Maybe allow the free apartment to be accessed within the paid apartments , this would add value.

Any idea of the item count limit on these basic apartments?

Every time I saw those huge towers on Port Atlantis, I always thought it would be nice for it to have any functionality and finally they do! Nice implementation Mindark!

Only the book slots were returned for Cbase Plastic Texture Blueprint and all 5 Chainsaw BPs, not the confiscated blueprints themselves.

And there’s no mention of the other blueprints, confiscated only on someone’s inexplicable whim. For example RT Bps:

Black Snake Skin Texture Blueprint

Camo Trucker Cap Blueprint

Two players told me 200 IP for these new apartments. Pretty cool!

When I click the links, I’m getting an error page with no text at all. One possibility is that I’m trying to open them in Microsoft Edge — I use Copilot, so I normally browse with Edge. I’ve had issues before where certain sites or scripts don’t load correctly in Edge, even though it’s Chromium‑based.

From what I understand, Edge has some extra security layers (like SmartScreen, tracking prevention, and enhanced security mode) that can sometimes block forum scripts or Cloudflare checks. Chrome doesn’t block those by default, which might explain why the links aren’t loading for me.

Thanks for looking into it for me.
