Well, so far I’m afraid its the one part that is known to involve mining.

How are miners and crafters forgotten? I see nothing in the announcement that said “this is for hunters, and hunters only!”
In fact, the first of the planet partner contests is happening on Arkadia starting tomorrow. In order to come out ahead, you have to swirl in mining, crafting AND hunting. For every mining + crafting + hunting swirl you get, you earn a point. (so, 10 mining, 3 crafting and 18 hunting swirls gets you 3 points).
I’d say this is very much for miners and crafters.
It’s not just that. I really hope other PPs follow in same vein and include mining/crafting, but the thing is that prizes are exclusively for hunters. They could have at least thrown in a couple of extractors with similar stats to SGA ones.
Ahhh, gotcha… so it’s not the event but the prizes that concern you? Well, I do suspect that there will be other TEN items to be discovered. Even if there are not any TEN mining tools in the loot, would you REALLY complain if you should loot a ONE OF A KIND bit of armor? At the very least, you could probably sell it for a significant amount of peds, and fund your mining and crafting.
Just sayin’. 
Does is exist any collected page about how the event will play out on the different planets?
