I have noticed with the recent changes to armour decay, that the Ghost (crafted armour) seems to have gone up in price. Which is probably correct, as it is better than nemesis, for the same rate of decay now.
What I am battling to understand, is how other armour prices are not dropping now. I would have expected the armour prices to have balanced out. At the moment it goes - Ghost, Bear, Nemesis etc.
Ghost sells for +150 to +180
Bear Sells for about +600
Nemesis I still see people trying to sell for +700 to +1000 (depending on M/F?)
I would have thought Nemesis would have come down in price, and Ghost gone up. Ghost has better protection than Nemesis for the most part, and with the decay the way it is, it should surely now be more expensive then Nemesis?
This is just an example, and I know Tiger etc has gone up.
What irks me is that traders etc are more inclined to push the prices of the “ghost” and other old inexpensive armours up, rather than bring down the prices of Nemesis, Angel etc.
The decay on ghost is still not that good compared to nem and their is also the “helmet factor” everyone knows the same armor with helemt is instantly worth more than one with a mask. Not that nem and ghost are the same protection wise but you get what i mean
perhaps the reason for it is durability - although it seems like it does not matter much now, i still think that since it is different we would see the effects… maybe next VU… or whenever
yeah its strange that full Ghost Male Set cost about tt+300ped whilest Full Nem Male cost tt+1500peds (lol) for price of full Nem I can buy full Vigilant on robots that has better protect than Nem and full Ghost and I have better protect, 2 full stes and some money left (lets see full ghost tt+300ped =600ped and full vigilant tt+550peds (for example let it be tt+550)=750 total cost is 1350peds for both) so 350peds left on ammo for exaple
YEAH :wise:

Thats exactly what I don’t understand.
Nemesis protection is NOT as good as Ghost, but still people charge so much for it.
The prices need to adjust according to the new decay rates.

why you complain about ?
wait and see.
you know ghost is better , then buy ghost before price rise up to fast , sell you nem like 100 ped under market value , and get prepared to laught.
because a big laught is coming if your info is right.
price can go up and down very fast in PE ..
sometime speculator make money , but i love when an item become very comon and they lost tons ped
That is most likely because Nemesis is a looted armor and there have been so many new players join in the last month that some of them really want Nemesis.
And another thing that bugs me is that I’ve been through 3 sets of Ghost already, and people kept telling me to sell cos of poor decay. Now its got good decay, and I don’t have a set anymore. Oh well… I’ve put my order in for my set.
Ghost is craftable so isn’t really in high demand as anyone could just try and craft Ghost. Nemesis isn’t craftable and as such, certain parts can be very hard to get hold of if they are not dropping.

Nemesis just looks cool, so has cool factor.

Whether or not it looks cool, I will not argue with, since we all have different tastes.
As for demand, yep, I can understand that, but it does seem that theres more nemesis in the game than ghost ? …
Hmmm I don’t keep much tabs on the armor market at the moment. Its probably been stated before in a different way but I think it boils down to simple supply and demand. Pretty much all the looted armors except for the low end ones don’t drop that much so there is always some sort of demand for these armors no matter where they fit into the scheme of decay and durability. Now people who craft armors can fill the need for crafted armors usually faster than looted ones which will decrease their demand and price. If Ghost had a helmet and I am not sure how the durability stacks up to nemi I think it would go up a bit but depending on how many people have Ghost BPs and the materials to make it really ultimately determines its price. Eventually when a higher end crafted armor comes out that can present some type of competition for the high end looted armors you might see a price decrease. That all depends on what type of materials the high end armors will take and what cost the crafter passes on to the consumer. Other than that the more people in game and the less items to go around means inflation for us all.

That is most likely because Nemesis is a looted armor

I would say that this is the essence of it. Ghost can be crafted to meet the demand at a lower price, while nemesis cannot - it must be looted at a severely slow rate. Therefore, Nemesis has history, higher durability, etc, while ghost can be crafted in a few seconds.
I think it’s because people still don’t understand how armor decay now works, and don’t realize that Ghost is better than Nemesis.
It can’t be just because of the helmet, or the looks (I think nem is ugly, btw). The price difference is too much. You could get Ghost instead of Nem and have just about enough left over to get an Angel helmet.
Angel, btw, should also have dropped a little since it is no longer in such a unique position with such good protection and good decay. But resellers will never let that happen. Too easy to control such a low volume, moderate cost market.
Price of both ghost and nemesis seem to be on the rise. Looking at both intensively this week on the auction and the open market - i’ve come to the conclusion it’s actually impossible to purchase a full set of nem for tt+1.5k (the going price 1/2 weeks ago) at the moment. It’s more like tt+1.7/1.8.
Ghost seems to be more like tt+400 or above now also due to word of mouth about the decay issue.
Being quite new to pe in general, is a rise like this common to the game is such a short period of time? I’m not interested in reselling, i’m actually worried that prices in the game are going to rocket to a point where I won’t be able to afford to progress.
