Randolph Vemlick responsible for public information at RDI (Research & Development Institute) announces Operation Scarecrow.
To all liable and competent citizens of Calypso! There is a need for brave robot hunters. Search and retrieve robot material for research purpose.
Since a couple of months robot activity on Calypso has changed pattern. Calypso authorities states that large scale attacks on cities have stopped. Only scattered robot activities with a few strange big gatherings has been reported for the last months.
A colonial investigation team has been sent out to wellknown robot sites to look for more clues about why the activity has decreased. Clues the team brought back from the expedition was of great concern. According to Randolph Vemlick at RDI the research department reported strange modifications to old wellknown robot techniques indicating large development steps in the robot evolution rather than stagnation.
This information led to intense activity at RDI. Unfortunately the few robot parts brought back from the expeditions rendered more questions than answers. Calypso authorities are speculating what this means, can it be the silence before the storm or is it just one of the ordinary development steps robots tend to take continuously?
To solve this mystery and get more conclusive information RDI are organizing a grand scale search called Operation Scarecrow. Scientists at RDI are interested in a few special parts to advance their investigations. See the item list below for items of interest and a reward corresponding to the item.
RDI Clerk Trob Tedser can be found in Atlas Haven, close to the teleporter on a couple of prescheduled occasions, see the time schedule below. Just initiate a trade with Trob, give him the items and the reward will be delivered.

Holy crap. That item better be cool as hell with those requirements… 10 rugaritz?? That alone is like 765 ped! :eek: Why dont they do some quests that an average level player can hope to complete.

i was quite happy hunting atrox around Ithaca until the last quest - then everyone and their mother turned up and started shooting anything that moved.

D’Oh… just read the article on the loader. Makes a lot more sense now. I thought that was crazy to have to turn in all that stuff. Format here was just hard on my eyes!
