Okey, great. Thanks! ![]()

If anyone owns one of the following weapons, please check it’s durability, Thanks!
EnKnuckles-2
[/QUOTE]
I can check these the next time I’m ingame.
Thanks, I already found a pair of Enknuckles 2 though, and a few other weapons. I’ve updated the list again. And it’s almost finished now, let’s just hope there are some weapons with the decay left.
The list is almost finished now, just some high decaying weapons left I guess.

Or any other weapon within those decay rates?

or maybe its excellent, i forget. but my scopes/lasers are exceptional. and my a201 amp is ‘very good’
Nice work Recoda! Keep’em comming!
Rep! :wise:
Dont you think that durability has not much to do with decay ?
Lets say we have a weapon A with tt=100 ped and decay=1 pec and weapon B with tt=5ped and same decay. What durability will be on weapon A and what on B ? Different - but still same decay. So good durability doesnt mean low decay and viceversa. And you cant see if decay is high or low on durability.
Durability is simply durability - nothing more ![]()
Have you tested that theory?
DD
:evilking:
Nope ![]()
But i think you cant define decay “from x to y” just on durability.
There is reason why it is named “durability” -not “decay”.
And BTW: have you tested all items with new durability stat ?

I usually test my theorys before I post them. I think you should do that aswell. Could you explain why the Imp Mk2 has the same durability as the Freedom otherwise? ![]()
And how do you think I gathered all this information, I did it all by testing.
There’s a difference between the durability shown on armors and the durability shown on other items. The durability shown on armors is included in a formula to calculate the decay, while the durability on other items is the decay.
I cant agree that durability is decay.
Decay is precise value - this new durability not.
Ateush, some items have a complicated number for their decay value, probably so much so that the values we have for them are estimates. For example, a gun may have a decay of 1.340001 pec per shot according to MA’s code, but we call it 1.34 pec because it’s close enough and it’s all we can measure.
Now if I decide to call 1.34 ped “Blue Decay” and anything higher than that “Red Decay” do you now see how the words used for durability represent the decay?
The words represent a numerical range. The real numbers inside MA’s code are still secret.
I know - and thats what i mean - durability is not exactly the same as decay ![]()
We can estimate decay quite precise - but durability (maybe as Recoda is testing it) - only in some range of values.
And even knowing that range - we cant precisly calculate decay ![]()
And my english is bad and i cant explain exactly what i mean
True, but I’m just saying that we can estimate the decay through these words. It’s possible to say if an item is good/ok or extremely bad. Depending on the word used in the durability status.
For example, you can see that the RAR9900ME is a high decaying weapon and couldn’t possible have a good economy, no matter what kind of number it has within the range of those numbers. So I think this new durability information system can be used to estimate if a weapon is good or bad, but it can’t give us the exact damage per pec. So we’ll still have to do decay tests.
It’s great to have once a new item hits the market though, especially those unique weapons.
Great work, Recoda.
I will give you rep for it.
And also great that MA did it this way.
Now we can get a clue about it (also with some help from Recoda’s table) to see how much damage a gun do and the durability.
For new weapons, we will see the difference if it has 1 pec or 10 pec decay from the information page. Together with ammo burn and damage, it is easy to have an estimated economy for the gun.

Reporting back with more news.
I just found out that the PSG-45 had a durability on Mediocre, that means that Mediocre goes all the way up to either 45 or 50. And as there is no item ingame with a higher decay than that, except for the Ek2500 Deluxe and the Unique Roman Ram Purifier. The list is as completed as it can get, at the moment.
I’ll update it whenever we find a new high decaying item though.

I also updated the first page with some information about the durability feature, take a look at the first page for the information and the table.

The decay information is wrong on either that weapon or a few others then, as the durability on both the Modified Mk II and the TR Tegretov 5 is good.
According to Driecc’s chart, the Modified Mk II has a decay on 2.20 Pec. And the Tegretov TR5 has a decay on 2.11 Pec.
if i could get ppl to loan me stuff on a regular basis so that the process could be completed relatively quickly, id make an all new weapon chart. tho of course, things like this never wouldve been a big deal if MA werent so tight lipped about things =D
It would be even better if everyone could do a decay/reload check on their weapons. As long as they know how to do it…

How do you get accurate results? (Without repairing full, and then counting the shots to make it 10% again
)
