Apparently I dont’ have the correct driver for PE. When I click on the link to download and install ATI driver 6525 on the downloads page it takes me ato a page that says the text I’ve pasted below. Being not too much of a computer whizz I’m not sure what I can do. Any suggestions appreciated! I also had problems (different ones) with trying to install the alternative driver but I’ll only go into that if this one doesn’t work to save me typing loads!
Thanks in advance for any help!

There could be several reasons why you’re seeing this page:
You clicked on a link on a site that is not part of the ATI domain.
You’re using a download manager. Download managers usually offer to search for alternative download locations. While this is nice for the user, it’s bad for the webmaster because a download which originated on another site could theoretically still be downloaded from this site, without anybody knowing.
Workaround to this restriction: Set up your download manager to send a HTTP referrer, and when you click on a link on the ATI site the download will then be authorized.
Your browser did not send a referrer. This normally happens if you right click on a link and select save-as, or if you copy and paste a link into a new browser window and press Enter. It may also be that your browser is set up to not send any referrer. Left clicking on a link works just fine and has been tested in IE, FireFox, Netscape , Opera and Mozilla.
Some software firewalls (such as Norton Personal Firewall or ZoneAlarm) remove the referrer from HTTP requests which will block any downloads on any site that does a referrer check. Hence such options should always be turned off. In Norton go to the Privacy Settings and disable browser privacy (which doesn’t really protect your privacy anyway as your IP address will always be logged regardless of that setting), in ZoneAlarm go to Privacy → Cookie Control → Custom and uncheck “remove private header information”.
If you use a mozilla based browser (Mozilla, Firefox or Netscape Navigator), referrer sending can also be deactivated (it is activated by default). To change that setting, browse to “about:config”, then search for “network.http.sendRefererHeader”. If the value is set to 1, referrer sending is enabled, if it is set to 0, it is disabled. To enable it, double click on it, then change the value.
Try going to the ATI page and click on drivers and software, and try getting the driver from there. It had said in the message that there may have been a problem with the PE page which “referred” you to that download.
Or, if you have trouble downloading from that page, try using google to find the file since the name is already given on the pe loader.
If the links doesnt work, then go to www.ati.com and click “drivers and software” On the left hand side of the page choose what OS you have. Click on “Radeon” in the tree structure on the left. Then click “Previous Drivers and Software” to go to the driver archive.
If that doesnt work, throw away that ATI crap and get a REAL graphics card from Nvidia that benchmarks the ass of ATI on PE.
Download the newest catalyst pack, it has the drivers you want. It doesn’t say directly what version it is, but as ATI uses a uniform driver, it suits all cards, and is always updated with the newest one. No need to log in (at least I’ve never done it)
I have a driver that is apparently not compatible with PE but it works fine. Except for the rare black mob (maybe its just a rare one? Every time Ive found 5-10 ped on them lol!) it works fine. I would just go for whatever the newest ones they have on the ATI site. Google it up and download, dont follow the links from PE. :wise:

The black mobs have nothing to do with your drivers i don’t think, we all see them. Got some thing to do with faulty textrures every now and again or something I beleive (don’t quote me on that  ).
You do NOT necessarily need the recommended driver shown in the clientloader ONLY get it if all others fail. I dodnt think I have ever had a driver not work on either ATI or Nvidia cards in PE (in anarchy online yes I get driver problems in PE no, weird )
I have also used the omega drivers ( google search for them, I cant be bothered to find the link ) and those, although un-official DO work very well, they are also a bit faster than the official drivers (at leat on ATI they are ).

LoL I got a nVidia 6800 and I even see the black mobs sometimes. 8) btw far as I can tell that drivers list is just a recommendation. the driver they say is for the nvidia is a older one which is what they tested with. typically anything ‘newer’ then what they list works. as for ATI I dont use them so I can say for those but as for nvidia drivers they work.
I never use the catalyst drivers. They always manage to phark em up somehow. I find the Omega work better for me, though duel screen occasionally has issues with certain builds.
