The mining drill towers are available once again. They are automatically constructed when a resource of sufficient size has been found.
Well its not working yet or at least not properly because i know of 2 people who have had 3k hoffys and the tower has not come up but a small rod like usual…Also they changed the hoff message for mining,so it now shows to the world when you get the deed at the begining of the mining when you hav’nt even started mining it yet,which i think is a bit silly because what if you were in pvp3 or somewhere a malicious enemy etc can kill you and knows where you are,then you would never be able to mine it 
If you know from the start what you get,why cant you sell it to the tt if you want :loco:

Because you still need to extract the ressources of course :smash:
Only thing is, that you know how long it’ll roughly take to do so…
Since I’m relatively new myself I’ve never seen a drilltower either, but I was told those are folding up when a deposit of reasonable size is found and then extract it for you, saving you a lot of time… And also saving some decay on your mouse finger…

i saw 1 drill tower W from atlas haven - in old tantardions young place.
they are definetly back. but i saw man who mined out 850+ peds oil (massive)with manual method. MA - common - set drill towers affter huge deposit. its quite anoying to spend few days to get minerals out.

Do u still get skills ? dont quite get it u save the decay and time and still get em and if not then u cant choose urself because u cant avoid getting drill tower when the deposit is big enough ?? dont quite get it sry

Well I ain’t got a clue about the decay, but from what I heard did they used to give skills too, but that was long ago, could’ve changed now…
EDIT : Probably someone who already got a drill tower since the vu should clear things up, from what was stated here they are existent apparently…
Mabey this is where skills matter. And when you think of it it would make sense.
If a newb gets lucking first day and finds a 3k lyst he would even want to drill it up himself and get lots of skills
But if an uber gets a 3k list he would have the skills to build/run a drill tower
has anyone with high mining skills got an uber yet? mabey they could answer this?
Or maybe you get the options:

Stay awake for 48 hours to mine your lyst and get skills.
-
Let this drilltower do the work for ya and get no skills.

i think they work as before (long time ago) u get skills after drilltower is finished. it acumulates skills to. i hope now they work in same way.

Skill gains at the end of extraction I believe.

A drilltower dosen’t make you get a lot of skills, since you extract all of it at once. :rolleyes:
At least that’s what our soc member Ice told me when he extracted 4k ped of oil
