ok… just curious as to how many of you mmorpg-addicts (you are if you are a member of this forum :)) use terms like “LOL”, “ROFL”, and “WTF” in real life, when talking to friends or other people.
my friends and i find ourselves using them when talking to each other… like if someone tells a funny joke or story, we will be like “LOL” (saying it letter by letter :P), or if we are confused or dont get something be like “WTF”, or when someone or one of us wont shut up and keeps rambling about something, be like “STFU n00b”…
I dont think I’ve ever said anything except “BRB” and “AFK” out loud. I say them alot actually over Ventrilo. As for out loud to friends/family, I have only said “BRB” a few times and it usually just slips out from being on Ventrilo so much, haha. :laugh: Oh, but I do say newb and hacker alot! :silly2:
If a friend does a cool trick on there bike or skateboard or something I’ll call them a hacker.
I answered NO…because, as I’ve told ya before Gruye…
I’m not an addict and I can quit whenever I want.
But on topic…
I don’t think I’ve ever actually said LOL…but I know I think it all the time…
I catch myself thinking it, and I’ve stopped myself from saying it outloud multiple times.
Along with this same idea, I DO hit the spacebar quite often to move the mouse on my puter…
And STILL in pechat.net I hit enter almost EVERY time before typing.
But again…No, I’M not an addict…not at all. And that’s not denial…reallly, it’s not…
Time to go back ingame…I only have half an axe and no ped, but I still need…umm…I mean…want to go kill those bery’s. :tongue2:

Usally i dont use any of that Words in RL but when i meet somoene who use them i have no Problems to talk with him/her on their Level I beat most would not even understand what i mean when i say loud lol. Why saying an Emote when i can Laugh instantly in RL ? :tongue2:
Im more interested in who laughs like a silly idiot irl all the time.
Like, in a conversation;
“How are you”
“Not bad” (laughs really loud) “You?”
“Im good too” (laughs really loud) censored due to excessive lol-ing
But to answer the question; I do, but never in public. Just to my boyfriend. And then only stuff like stfu & rtfm.

But I do take myself in doing something else. When people usually make smileys ingame and sit like a stoneface irl… Well I kinda… act out those smileys. I didnt even notice it before I wrote “:O” ingame and found myself looking like that irl.

100%, word for word, exactly what I would answer to this question. :laugh: I don’t do it so often anymore, but at first, it was annoying as anything to have to constantly watch my mouth that I didn’t say ‘LOL’ while laughing. How embarrasing would that be?? And the spacebar/enter thing just drives me crazy at time. :silly2:

Actually I don’t recalling “Rolling On Floor Laughing Out Loud,” though I do laugh out loud at times, not like HAR HAR HAR or anything, but a sort of amused laughter :laugh:
I have caught myself saying lol many times.. Guess I am a nerd (What else can you be, when you play up to 13 hours of PE a day :eek: ).. never used any other expressions like that in RL though…
