Greetings Colonists,

In the upcoming Onboarding Update, we will also have a number of small quality of life changes coming with the update that we want to make you aware of. These changes mostly impact Vehicles and UI, and some improvements for those using the Steam Version of Entropia.

[HEADING=2]More Settings for the Steam Client[/HEADING]
Currently there are a number of options in our Standalone Client Loader that are not available to users using the Steam Version of the game, including Language Selection and Connection Settings.

We are pleased to say that these settings will now be found ingame in the options menu, under the new Misc category. This will now mean that the Steam Version of the game will be principally identical to the Standalone, for those that may wish to make the switch to Steam.

[HEADING=2]User Interface (UI) Updates[/HEADING]
Action Bar:
[ul]
[li]Drag-and-drop no longer requires being in edit mode.[/li][li]Action bars can now be individually locked/unlocked to avoid accidental dragging while not in edit mode.[/li][/ul]
We found that for new players (and existing) that needing to enter and exit edit mode every time you wish to adjust something on your hotbar was tedious and annoying, so now you will be able to freely move an item on, off and around the hotbar freely - with a locking feature to prevent any misclicks during normal play.

Locking Icon visible to the right of the hotbar - becomes hidden when not hovered over

Message Center:
[ul]
[li]The Message Center window has received a visual overhaul.[/li][li]Addressed various minor bugs, including incorrect icon rendering, deactivated tutorials displaying pages, and improper display of bid entries (incorrect backgrounds and placement).[/li][/ul]
User List:
[ul]
[li]Resolved a bug preventing the display of offline timers for users.[/li][li]The visual presentation of the User List window has been consolidated for a cleaner appearance.[/li][/ul]
Texturizer Tool:
[ul]
[li]Corrected an issue where items in the Texturizer Tool window did not rotate and zoom accurately in the preview.[/li][/ul]
Chat System:
[ul]
[li]Chat colors have been restored to their pre-UI update palette.[/li][/ul]

Options Menu:
[ul]
[li]Dropdown menus within the Options with a significant number of entries now provide increased visual space to facilitate scrolling.[/li][/ul]
[HEADING=2]Vehicle Updates[/HEADING]
Place and Enter action:
[ul]
[li]A new vehicle action that spawns the vehicle at the player’s position and automatically enters the vehicle.[/li][li]Accessed through the inventory or by using a vehicle in the hot bar.[/li][/ul]

[ul]
[li]The recall action now returns the vehicle to inventory while on the same planet.[/li][li]A new recall action that forces all vehicles to planet storage.[/li][/ul]

Automatic recall:
[ul]
[li]A new option for automatically recalling vehicles to the inventory when they are far away.[/li][li]The distance is configurable by the player.[/li][/ul]
Automatic re-equip:
[ul]
[li]If a tool was equipped while entering a vehicle it will be re-equipped upon exiting the vehicle.[/li][li]This is disabled in PvP[/li][/ul]
Floating Marker:
[ul]
[li]Nearby owned vehicles now appear as a floating marker, making it easier to find when you can’t see it[/li][/ul]

Damn another zinger, GG MA!

Finally fixed the texturiser aswell, chefs kiss.

Some really nice updates I approve it ?

Sounds good. Hoping it looks good and works well too.

Now that is some QoL updates
The quest background i’d make it optional perhaps depending on preference?

Looks good.

Nice changes! Keep up the great work!

Someone get me some burngel, Socrates is on FIRE!

Thanks!!!

Please don’t forget TP listing in space (planet/map choice). It’s only 3 entries on a significantly longer list now.

Ohh, and picking a specific category in the crafting terminal had the same limitation ?

Plz make Inventory windows resizable.

cool, something will be f( no big hurrey)x, but if I had any issue still and there won,t be solution on this forum can I write support ticked or leave as it is and just stay log off?

when the new UI came out it created a bug where if you open inventory (or something o.o) while doing something else you become frozen to one key IE: run left run right, jump backpedal… and its really annoying to try to fix it, this has got me killed a few times. can we get this fixed or we gonna go many more years with this annoying bug?

Cool, that covers maybe 10% of the comments sent in the several Feedback threads from Feb 2024, 19 months ago.

EU (or MA) learnt me something: patience.

Please fix the scroll on channel names.

GOD tier stuff.
I guess this is not the same dude that assigned targeting function to ALT and TAB just to mess with the players. And unequip button right next to the F. LMAO

Keep the momentum going! ??
