Hi I really love and hate this game …Anyway i really want to make hunting pay and I have struggled …however the last couple of nights have been better …i have ploughed 200peds into hunting EASILY and my axe skill is 647 …
My question regarding hunting …is …which are the most profitable mobs for me to hunt at that skill level? (generally as i know loot is somewhat random)
One other thing I want to mention is that thus far I have not deposited but instead i have had some key advice from a select few players which has helped me…anyway now that i see the vast amount of peds skilling uses up and that i can only deposit $10 /////I would appreciate if anyone could give me a wide range of pointers on :
buying items and prices
what they would buy in the same situation
mining is it advisable at my lvl considering im lucky if i have 20 peds at 1 time ? (I tried once or twice and money was not good)
trading what could i buy to trade(I ask this as when i tell people i hunt and am losing they say trade …what i dont get is how can i make money of trading when my prime resourses …hide goes for 110% im lucky if i make 10pec per sale and by the timne i have reasnable ammount ive burned out 5 axes worth.)
Is there a good strategy for saving bankrupcy hunting when im down to my last 7 ped?
I know some of the above questions may seem obvious but well i want the views of players that have been on pe a while so i can maybe pick some new stuff up
Hunt the biggest mobs you can a hunting party of 3 or 4 people with axes can easly take down pretty decent mobs like atrax young mature and old depending on if other have armor / faps. Obviously stick with the ae fap weapon.
As for mineing stay away it is very espensive you need a lot of ped and luck to get started with it
Tradeing wise depending on the amount of capital you have tradeing in ore / enmatter can give you a few percent return. Or building up armor sets from parts can give good return other than that you will have to sit on the auction looking for good deal use the auction track at www.pe-trade.net to find out if something is a good deal.
You need to be able kill loads of that mob - preferably at least 1 hour without any breaks.
You need to be able to survive couple bad hunts (count on 50% losses). - If you have 200 peds to put in hunting: count on using 50-100 peds per hunt. Then you can keep on hunting same way even if you get big losses once or twice.
And finally: they should drop something that can be sold over tt price. - For this I suggest Argonauts. They do little damage through pixie/rascal and drop iron which always sells over tt value.

With a skill level of 647 in LB, 1 axe, fap 5, & no armour you are going to have trouble hunting Argonaut Young’s alone. With no armour they will hit you with 20 damage each time.
I would suggest you buy Rascal, or atleat Pixie armour.
1, Get a few more axes. 7 usually works fine for me
2, Get pixie armor for teamhunting or rascal for solohunting
3, Go chop up some molisks. You can find some easy ones south of camp phoenix, mixed with some cornundos. Molisks drops 4 teeth in almost every loot, and they can be sold for at least 400% (that’s 12 pec bonus for every loot you get right there!)
4, Don’t hunt me responsible for bad loot. The above is good advice, but luck is a major factor in the game
Really helpful replys …they were exactly the kind of responses I was hoping for , Im gonna try and use that trade search thing to get a set of rascal armour …what do you folks think I should expect to pay for a set?
In ref to axes i think i will get a few more of those …(1x0) …only thing is i paid 10ped buyout for 1 1x0 axe on auction that was at max condition do u think that was a good deal? and so if i were to buy say 3 more thats another 30ped
IN reference to mining …i have someone i know that does really well at it but to be honest I have also felt initially its largely due to luck …I will stay away from it until i have a decent amount of peds
Finally …No worries Dark Fire …the fact that I have not deposited until now I know means I have seen how ruthless this game can be and I wont go blaming anyone for my misfortune although I can understand why point 4 is there :laugh: , Also Essi im definately going to take a look at your guide

tt+3 for a 1x0 is slightly over priced. Expect to pay tt+0.5 to tt+1. You can normally find people selling axes at Camp Phoenix, or try the open markets at Port Atlantis, Twin Peaks.
Alternatively hunt Cornucauda N of Fort Argus, or N of Hadesheim. They drop 1x0 in their loots everyso often, and their avg loots are ok most of the time, they would be within your skill level.

I basically new what a reasnable price was and advertised on game and got the axe but im wandering if i just said lf axe and didnt mention tt+1 if they would have sold it at a higher price like the auctions? :-))
I would also say for armor get Pixie. It is ubber in itself ( go on laugh) It has pretty decent protection and is CHEAP to repair! Reviving is free so stick with some Pixie and work you way up.
I’m not saying Rascal is bad-I love it and use it, but I still use pixie to this day.
digit for now i kind of agree with you and i have purchased pixie armour …well shin,thigh and harness parts to save peds and it seems to be doing okay …I was looking a the prices for a full set of rascal and well the cost on auction is kind of out of my league at the minute…something disturbing that I noticed on auction is that some people are obviously trying to make mass peds at others misery…its just I saw 2 1x0 axes with the normal average durability getting sold for 50ped EACH…I double checked to see there was nothing special about them and im 100% certain they are your standard 1x0 axes and i think people doing things like that is nto in the least bit good for the game
