Anyone but me get ctd when you write a pm and you are going to edit a typo and use the ctrl+cursor buttons to move back? I get it quite often. Sent support case about it sometime ago they said they would look in to it.
I know I should stop doing it but I keep forgetting

Hmm.. I only use arrow buttons without control to edit pm.
I havent got ctd in pm writing but I used to get it when writing too fast in chat. Maybe its all about how quickly you press the keys? I mean when editing you probably press several keys in second.
Just a thought.
same for me i have a lot of ctd when i read, write and reply PM when i run, hunt or make another activity in the same time.

The game crashes & I get a box saying ‘Abnormal program termination | C:\…\PE.exe’ when using the shift+ctrl+arrow key to mark/unmark text in PM’s in the game. It doesnt always happen, but sometimes, usually after holding shift+ctrl down for a while & going left and right with the arrow keys the game crashed imidiatly to the desktop, giving me the above mentioned message. \r\nWhen trying to relog the progress bar hangs & I have to end task since the game isnt responding. Second login try usually works, but after approx. 10-20 seconds ingame I get a ‘Lost connection…’. After the 3rd login it usually works, though. \r\nJust thought I’d let you know.
This support case is ~1 year old and the bug itself is older since I waited quite a while before reporting it. It rarely happens to me anymore since Im much more careful when replying to PM’s, but it do still happen.
The situation has changed a bit since I sent this support case. It’s not as sensitive as it used to be, meaning I can select a couple of words and not crash, while before it was almost always immidiatly.
Also you wont get the abnormal box now.
Another small chat warning: If you’re chatting (writing text to for example soc/general/team chat) and still talking/writing when you die, your cursor will be locked in chat-mode, meaning you cant release the mouse to press Yes in order to be resurrected, and since you cant release the mouse you cant press the key Y.
Only solution is to kill PE.exe, which once didnt even work, forcing me to reboot.

hitting escape to exit the chat, and spacebar to bring back the cursor doesnt solve this? ..
usually hitting escape fixes most problems. sometimes it goads the mobs into giving up more loot too!

although ive had ctd in private chat with REALLY LONG messages, and its :cussing: :cussing: annoying, i cant say ive ever had it for knoop’s reason… then again , ive nver used that method of editing pm…

You would think that esc would solve it, but it doesnt. Nor does hitting enter and trying to send the msg. So far I havent been able to work around it (except 1) Dont die 2) Dont chat when you think you might die. 
), but I dont go out of my way to test it since it’s so frustrating when it happens.
Ive sent in a support case on it and they want me to update my graphic/sound drivers since it “may help to solve most of the problems as related with stuck”.
Havent gotten around to it yet though :kos:

I know a way to work around it,alt+tab once and then go back in game.Easy problems has easy solutions
