Creatue Name Makeover

As we all wait breathlessly for the new update…with time on our hands… I though perhaps we could suggest some new names for the PE creatures – because (in English at least) the names of the creatures aren’t the greatest  ! Take, for example, your basic Snablesnot – ok it is a fairly descriptive name, however, has zero credibility. The names don’t help improve the respectability of the game to those outside the game:

Friend/ Kids/ other Family Member “So you play an on-line game where you pick fruit, pick up shit and collect sweat in bottles and sell it…oh and the animals you hunt have names like Snablesnot …hmmm”

Friend/ Kids/ other Family Member nervously takes a step back and looks for the nearest exit.

So could we have suggestions for names for creatures and perhaps their key characteristics players would give them? Oh…perhaps we should use names which have cultural references outside English speaking countries & suggested attributes of the creatures…

I will put the most outrageous, amusing or interesting up on a poll in a few days…

Now as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is now the ‘in film’ in my house at the moment I would recommend:

Hornswogglers
Snozzwangers
Wicked Whangdoodles

This would give the game instant credibility with my kids… !

You really don’t want this PJ

For one, it would make communication about mobs even more difficult ( most names are hard enough to spell correctly as it is ) and second ( and most important ) imagine your kids wanting to play PE as well…

before you know it, they’ll be using your credit card to deposit…

Well I’d like to see Maffoids loose their name to Biffoids :tongue2:

no Konve… Muffoids

Tut tut, that deserves -rep.

Jks

this is one area where i think MA has done good most mobs and their names is quite nice and does infact have a fairly high credability as many names are either latin or “old tongue” and many of the mobs resembles animals that have either lived or that u could imagine to have a chance of evolving

How about flemflingers for snablesnots? (ok maybe not)

Actually i agree with Hally, i think MA have done a pretty good job with the names, and created some original names for the mobs, and created some original looking monsters too.

Hmm … could be useful ..child labour rather than an auto-clicker

Well for all you who think snablesnot sounds wierd… “Snarksnot” is a mix of the english word “snot” and the swedish word for “snore” - so we have Snoresnots ingame :tongue2:

I think the creature names and designs are one of the best things about PE.

Yep the designs are really cool and some of the names sound really realistic…just thought it would be fun to suggest some alternative names…

I’ve been playin for over 2 years and i still dont know how to spell cornunacaduas or whatever they are. I think they’re name should be changed to to… Cornonthecobbas. much easier to spell.
