First of all I’m not jealous or something close to that, just curious on the system.
Last year I noticed that the 3 total gifts were given to the people I’ve seen that deposited more than a XXX value I think (ofc this is my tought and was).
For the first time, in all the gifts MA gave us since i started to play, I got the total item diversity, the Snowman, the candy and the elfshoes.
I know some ppl that deposited quite a decente ammount and they only got the shoes and the candy. some only the candy
I never deposited and I got the 3 items.
I just got wondering… what is the gift giveaway based on?

But also, I know many active ppl that got only 2.
I usually receive all 3, and only got the two this year.
The only thing that has really changed for me is that I am no longer holding a land/shop/hangar deed.
Perhaps this is what the 3rd item is based on?

(I’m assuming this hasn’t been altered since 2006)
The topic came up in my soc, and after having spoke with those who played much more than I, and much less, and those who depo’d much more than I, and those who hadn’t depo’d at all, there didn’t seem to be much of a rhyme or rhythm to it. I received all three, but was the only one out of them all to have done so.

I checked that link Mega, I also tought it was by deposits, but like i said, I never commited a single deposit. and I got the 3 gifts, that’s why I’m wondering how it works now.
now that i remember… I don’t own a stat deed… but I did got one “borrowed” from a friend, I had to claim my name there.
This was last VU when I went to use a friends OA on CND.
That might be it I guess…
How about the others? did you get what you “expected”?
As far as I know it’s always been like this:
- standard, everyone gets
- certain amount of money deposited or certain skill level reached (total skills i think)
- estate owner
I got 2, since I don’t have an estate.
- is candy cane I think
- are the shoes
- is the snowman
I got exactly what I expected to get, since 4 years ago I got all 3 because I had an apt, sold it and the years after always had 2 presents.
It used to be that the third gift went to anyone who owned an estate or who had deposited a certain amount (I forget how much).
Looks like it’s been changed to estate owners only.
All 3 here.. i own an apartment. It is not due to activity since this year was my worst year of activity ever.
Must be estate yes, always had 3, this year 2..
But im soooo happy with my candy :yay:

Since he did not deposit that amount of money (he is on of those blessed avatars that do not deposit although he hunts his ass off), and since he was not the owner of an estate at the time of the christmas patch, one is left to believe that the system “remembers” eventual ownerships during the year?

Are you talking about Manique? He just said earlier that he’s currently holding an estate deed, so he is (as far as the system is concerned) an estate owner.
So you don’t hold an estate now?
No estate = no snowman.
