No need for rental services. Soon we will all have a high Eff TWEN item
IMO very bad move for the player base, but good move for MAâŚ
Biggest problem is they can no longer be used for collateral. Next is that any player will have to pay MA to move them, harder to acquire and sell them means the price of CLDs will change. Look at all the ones on the stock exchange system, they do not carry the same value as CLDs have.
So CLDs will be broken down on the exchange at 100:1 ratio, the payout will remain the same so each deed will recieve at most 5 pec per week (if the payout was 5 ped for the old system) this would make the cldâs value around the same as the current ones that we have on the market right?
Do you think they would hold the price of 30p each after the split that they have right now?
I think weâre likely to see price increase above that due to a lower barrier for entry. Not everyone has 3 000 PED liquid to tie up, 30 is another story.
Well, 3, 4 or 5 pecs a week is somewhat similar to Ark Underground payouts, although on the lower side, maybe 2/3 the payout (maybe 1/2 is closer). That would put the value at something like 60 peds 45 peds if AUDs sell for 90?
Compared to the couple of 10 pedders that pay out 1 pec a week, it would be something approximating 40 peds.
Compared to CP shares itâd be something like 60 peds.
So, the disadvantage of costing 3k peds, once removed, may turn into a relative value of 40 to 60 50 peds each after the split. To heck with using CLDs as collateral⌠I think my CLDs are happy about this move!
What makes me laugh, though, is the tokens and tradeability. Nice to see the theoretical plus of the non(X) deeds being kept, but what the heck are the tokens supposed to be good for, now YEARS after the last plots were sold and development having ⌠faltered?!
This is a good move, thank you.
I hope this wonât cause the prices to drop because that would suck.
Thatâs nice, but we need more Land Plots.
now we need to alter the exchange system so that we can have a BID on the propducet to have a âVookâ of each product and not just SALES offer
having a Best BUY order and a best SALE order is the keyof efficient markets
as per the collateral use⌠this is what banks hsould be for⌠pledge at DECENT interest land shares, bank receive weekly payment, and give ped for collateral
next revamp is the FAIL bank system that is just an outrageous pawn shop
Excellent news! The new exchange is a superior system. And dividing it by 100 is WAY more manageable and doesnât put a massive barrier to owning a part of calypso. 3000ped was way too much just to get a single share.
Also should stop market manipulation and predatory orders being placed.
Great ? ?
I wonder if the value of the other shares will also drop in value now since they all suck except AG.
This is preparation for the contract system being designed for Unreal Engine 5. Collateral will not be needed in the future allowing for rentals based on contract terms.
Contract system: inter-user contracts to harness user labor as well as NPC corporate contracts (i.e. âmissionsâ)
Or more use for the land plots! Canât even TP to home with them for Fâ sake! ?
Wishfull thinking but I like it!
I donât like it⌠The Exchange forces you to pay for selling shares, I hate that. I have never owned any shares on the Exchange and probably never will, the transaction fees alone is a big enough deterrent for me. Do the math on it someday, itâs actually very interesting, you would have to hold onto AG or AMD for a VERY long time just to cover the cost of selling them. For MA, this is a no brainer, but I see it them taking advantage of people who arenât good at math or canât be bothered to do the math.
Thumbs down from me (n)
What made the CLDâs good will be a thing of the past⌠no more using CLDâs as bank notes.
More feeâs on trading them ( Both for seller and buyer ).
new system sucks⌠i get itâs easier system to maintain than query everyones inventory to check if it has any deeds but damn MA got tonedeath with this one.
So yeah thumbs down in hope that someone at the office thinks about what they are doing.
Unless you reduce or remove the atrocious Exchange fees you have my thumbs down on this.
So (n)
i read NO STATEMENT on a ârental systemâ to be implemented.
This game is literally built around âPeople canât mathâ
Perhaps someone knows the current fee structure (it has changed) and what things actually cost to do. Maths is then the next step to work out a per-share cost and other stuff.
Once upon a time I bought I think it was 10 shares of something because on principle I didnât want to pay the minimum 25 pecs to BUY 1 share from the share centre.
On selling, I know that if the entire order doesnât sell, MA only charges 25 pecs, with the sales fee being about .25% if a sales order for a good multiple of shares is filled. Some of the initial charge may be returned for unfilled slaes at the end of seven days.
It may be the buy side is also .25%, but I donât recall ANY clarity by MA on this.
Maybe we can be pointed in the right direction?
If I recall, my maths a while ago was something like if 10 peds pays out 50 pecs a year and you sell, you will lose 5 pecs to fees for the round trip of buying and selling, so a return of 5% becomes only 4.5%. If you hold for 2 years, the return after those pesky fees is 4.75%. That is without any compound interest calculation on weekly payouts, so the simple maths!!!
The current AH fees are quite a bit lower on the basis of 1 CLD that sells. Currently, if a buyer doesnât buy, then you have to repeat several peds of fees each time, though.
I donât know what selling, say, 10 AUDs currently costs in fees, but those are not the issue here (although I expect they will have to move over as well soon).
