Fingers crossed they add Halloween candy
Itâs been explained in detail but you arenât listening. Grow the player base> Convert players that try it out> Drive more users and consumers> enjoy a better game and experience. If you havenât figured it out yet, the player base is the investors and owners of the game. MA just runs it, oversees it, and takes their cut. Itâs simple. Our money helps bring in more money or we all lose ![]()
MindArk needs to put more effort into (testing) before implementing a roadmap. Currently Warp Fridays DEAD, Streamer program DEAD. if not enough fisherman the profession will DIE or create insane MU for food, lets see how long that lasts.
They removed auto loot pills from TT, replaced it with a shitty gravy chip, and now we have to pay MU on the same item if we want it through food or are forced to buy a shitty starter pack, because i love to click every mob i kill.
But that doesnât compute. In such a case, where are yours and my shares? I donât recall buying them and I must have missed the meeting.
They should have gone âAdopt a noobieâ instead and make it voluntarily.
No more deposits will be made until I at least can get a reload buff at a reasonable price
Craftable ammo with buffs.
I hope it works out and it should in theory. All noobies are easily making some ok money now with fishing and the turn ins plus any other hustles they can find like aris daily, ai dailies, wood cutting, 4p + bonus $ for good bps from me everyday etc. Just enough to show game can be profitable if you search out the proper profitable activities and opportunities around. If that was me as a noobie itâd definitely hold my interest and make me wonder what else is out there if i invest/skill up. This isnât MAs worst strategy thatâs for sure. Just if they ever actually fix fishing + do some other tweaks/fixes thatâd be great.
When I first saw how Cooking and Fishing would work, I instantly said it will fail⌠what MA wanted to do is nice, but they still dont know who their customers are after all these years. There was a great way to have buffs but MA doesnt know its economy. There are players who play hundreds of hours - how can MA employees compete with their knowledge of the in-game economy?
Long-term the way it is now Cooking and Fishing will be obsolete systems.
Think they over did the buff crafting system tbh.
Normally you see a new system be very basic and expand over time to a more complex system. Went straight to the full on so no doubt this will take a while for things to settle.
To be honest there really isnât much to it they trick you with the crapload of different items needed. Like for example cooking recipes, I literally did 10 clicks of the 4 or 5 secondary type cooking mats like lumis sauce, vita boost etc and havenât clicked them again since and have made tons of food with crapload of mats still left. Itâs a fake out and is why Ferrum nuts went from 600% down to 150% (below its normal price even for antimagnetic oil) in just a couple weeks instead of staying around at least 4-500%. I kinda wish they made it complex so these items ferrum/lumis etc kept some MU. The entire thing is in getting the blueprints and for some recipes to get the rarer fish and thatâs it.
You can literally fish for a week and a half profiting the whole way to get high enough gastro to make every food AI gives out. Buy a 106 stove for the pathetically low 250p cost and youâre set forever.
The problems I see from what Iâve done is things like the 1 hour buffs having basically the same input cost as 10 hour ones and give out same quantity (1-3) of end products as 10 hour ones. So 1 hour ones should be increased to double 3-6 items per success instead of 1-3. Fix fishing on other planets including the 50% chance to catch no fish and only scrap. Fix deep sea fishing on other planets which is entirely broken. For rare fish gear like lures etc with having so few chances to click high level bps to loot high level lures/gear they should make the drop in blueprint quantities lower per single loot and spread them out more. Make fishing with a rare expensive limited lure catch more of the fish it was designed to. Some are so rare you can catch 0-3 in 2 hours during right time and burn up whole 200-1500p lure. Get rid of pills entirely from game and add a âmystery boxâ to mayhem vendor that will require no keys and loot random cooking buff bps only. This way MA can still control droprates for prices to make sense and have casual player style low cost rewards to pull. Same with AI hunt dailies have bps instead for the rewards for bonus MU. These would go a long way to help fishing/cooking succeed as a whole.
none of them completed mentorship. You canât compare.
There is life steal and rare mining find chance etc new buffs though. Or did you those buffs made with tt-stuff?
Where would the MU be if majority of players would be selfsufficient? Itâs very important in RCE to have market for things and opportunities to specialize and make some profit that way is only good thing imo
We did have a market, the markup of combat buffs went largely to depositing players. When they removed pills to introduce this scam, they:
- Took that markup away from depositing players
- Raised price on 10mg pills for mostly depositing players
- Made it harder to find buffs for depositing players
- Made auto loot expensive for non depositing players
- Made skill juice more expensive
All in favor of bots from low income countries and players that most likely never will contribute financially. Someone who needs to go a month F2P before buying a starter pack will never ever bust out their credit card for an event.
What MindArk could have done instead, and should have, would be to introduce buffs we didnât have already. Rather than stealing from us, they could have created an incentive for us to help fund F2P by exclusively using buffs we didnât have in pill form already. Examples of this would be the life steal and mining, movement speed and critical damage on the modified Harlequin uses.
The thing is that to increase supply (and so reduce mark ups for crafting buffs), fishing needs to be âfunâ.
At the moment fishing seems to be autism therapy, my limit is maybe 200 baitfish, or 2-3 ped spool use before i want to play tetris.
Very good suggestions and the mayhem vendor one is good as well. They could even consider random bps in boxes for foods too. But maybe with mod neuro level buffs so they are different
Couldnât agree more with the bots and alts etc itâs disgusting, like the aris ones, those same people made ones for fishing. Some even use same accounts but smarter + less lazy ones made new ones to not risk their somewhat skilled accounts when skill isnât needed for fishing/AI turn ins. All the alts and bots is probably the biggest concern this game has imo.
I disagree with the part players wonât depo etc if they are playing small time with the profiting a bit first on fishing. When I played back in 2009 played with small small $ made no profit anywhere on anything and quit from seeing no potential (even tho there was some but i was young n dumb-er). When I came back and was profiting on mining saw the potential and dropped almost 20 grand on the game to gear up and then ended up hunting too even tho that was straight loss for me. Those are the players we want and game needs to keep going/take up some gear. Some arenât all 100% gamblers only and want to at least see a profit avenue exists. Then they can say âah well I know I could profit if I wanted but hunt/craft/mining is more fun so Iâm gonna do that insteadâ. Thatâs all thatâs needed to get some people hooked enough on the game and during the fishing time gives people time to learn core game mechanics they otherwise wouldnât have given the time of day to learn. I hear old depo players all the time who say they wish the sweat prices were still 5-7p per 1k like in the old days. Those sweaters as hard as it is to believe are depo players now from seeing that potential. So hopefully it works out like this for some of the newer real human 1 account owning players.
Would be nice if they can tweak it a bit to give some bps or even already made food (if they must but rarely) in some missions/mayhem to balance it some in the depo hunters direction as well because you do have a point there. If nothing else itâll teach hunters the food names who donât know them yet + the MU.
This of course can only happen in a few months from now when the 6 month vacation ends. Everything will remain completely broken until then.
No, it only has to be profitable. Do you think sweating is âfunâ?
People still do it!
Fishing is not much of a difference, just more variety in loot, which gets old pretty quickly without any chance of SOOTO.
Maybe theyâll add stuff in the future (right..) that makes it more fun, like a message in a bottle that opens up a one-time mission. Even so, bait+sweating is just staple non-depo jobs.
There will be the treasure maps soonTM
With bundles of bananas at the end.
